Bujtas Takes from Waters

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 800 ante

Laszlo Bujtas opened the action with a raise from under the call and called the three-bet by Oliver Waters for 41,500 to see a flop of {10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Bujtas checked, Waters continued for the very same 41,500 and Bujtas called. Both then checked down the {7-Diamonds} turn and the {4-Clubs} river. Bujtas showed {10-Spades}{9-Spades} and Waters mucked.

Schillhabel Prevails Against Segebrecht

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 800 ante

Stefan Schillhabel raised to 20,000 on the button and Claas Segebrecht called out of the big blind. On the flop of {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, Segebrecht check-called a continuation bet worth 26,000 before the duo from Germany checked the {5-Diamonds} turn. After the {K-Hearts} river, Segebrecht checked and Schillhabel bet 42,000.

Segebrecht now check-raised to 135,000 and Schillhabel tossed in two chips for the call, which prompted Segebrecht to instantly muck his cards and forfeit the pot.

Waters Hits the River to Keep the Dream Alive

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 800 ante

Folded around to Oliver Waters in the small blind he raised it up to 25,000. but Paul Byrne would have none of it and put Waters all-in for a total of 166,400. Waters considered his option for a few seconds before making the call, and the hands were on their backs.

Paul Byrne: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Oliver Waters: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

Waters were not in good shape, and neither the {4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop or the {A-Spades} turn changed anything. The {J-Diamonds} on the river was just what the doctor ordered for Waters, who got a needed double up.

Wheeler "Showers" Salter and Chisu; Radomski Gone

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 800 ante

The next few minutes continued as frantic as the post-dinner action thus far. Short stack Karol Radomski got his last few big blinds in with ace-queen and lost a flip against the pocket nines of Max Silver.

Then, Jack Salter shoved for 78,000 with pocket nines, Danut Chisu reshoved for 132,000 with pocket tens and Jason Wheeler found pocket kings behind them. "And then, showers and showers," Wheeler joked, while stacking a wall that amounts to almost one million now.

Johnson Thriving

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 800 ante

There are two Johnson's left in today's field and both of them are now above average, as Keith Johnson built his stack to more than half a million. Oliver Waters however took the other direction after being moved over from the feature table.

On the {6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} turn, Johnson bet 20,000 out of the big blind and Waters raised to 46,000 from the cutoff. Johnson called and the {7-Hearts} river was checked. Johnson turned over the {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for fours and deuces, and that won the pot.

Simao Finds Ten to Bust Kempe

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 800 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

Rainer Kempe moved all-in for what looked to be around 70,000 and got action from Joao Simao in the big blind. Kempe was in great shape holding {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} against the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} of Simao, and the flop was as safe as they get - {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

Disaster struck on the turn when the dealer revealed the {10-Spades}, and Kempe couldn't find any of his 6 outs on the river as the board was completed with the {3-Hearts}.

24 players remain, 11 gets paid.

Segebrecht Finishes Off Kennedy

Level 12 : 3,000/6,000, 600 ante

One German took most of Anthony Kennedy's chips in Stefan Schillhabel, and another German just finished the job. Kennedy shoved from the small blind for his last 62,500 and Segebrecht peeked at his cards, then snap-called.

"Oh my god," Kennedy gasped when he spotted the cards of Segebrecht and Yucel "mad Turk" Eminoglu came over from the rail to support his friend.

Anthony Kennedy: {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Claas Segebrecht: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

The boards of {J-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} failed to improve Kennedy enough, and he was eliminated.

Govert Metaal Makes King-high Flush to Decimate Thomas Muehloecker

Level 12 : 3,000/6,000, 600 ante

The action folded around to Thomas Muehloecker on the button, and the Austrian made it 13,000 to go. Govert Metaal came firing back out of the small blind, and Muehloecker made the call for 41,000 total.

Metaal continued for 40,000 on the {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop. Mueloecker committed the chips. The story repeated itself on the {6-Clubs} turn, this time for 68,000.

Metaal emptied the clip on the {2-Diamonds} river, and that sent Muehloecker deep into the tank. Eventually, he put in four black chips to signal the call of 161,400, but his {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} quickly hit the muck after seeing Metaal's {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the flush.

Muehloecker was left with less than a big blind and got the remains in the very next hand but to no avail. He couldn't beat the {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} of Joao Simao on a board of {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{Q-Hearts}, and was eliminated from the tournament.,

Meanwhile, Xiaoyang Luo busted on another table, leaving 28 players to fight it out for the High Roller title.
