Nial Farrell ({J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}) just doubled up to over the starting stack through Big Tony ({Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}) on the {5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades} board.

Ole Schemion just walked into the tournament area with his receipt and drew seat 5 on the table of Farrell, Joao Simao, Patrick Leonard and Jean-Noel Thorel.

Newey Doubles Through Nitsche

Level 7 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Paul Newey shoved all in from the button for 400,000 in total. Dominik Nitsche asked for a count and then called from the small blind.

Paul Newey: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Dominik Nitsche: {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} - Nitsche hit his jack on the flop but the ace on the turn saved Newey's tournament life and he doubled up.

Tsoukernik and Vogelsang Double

Level 7 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Leon Tsoukernik
Leon Tsoukernik

With a pot of 350,000 already having emerged to the {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop, Philipp Gruissem bet 215,000 out of the small blind and Felipe Ramos in the cutoff glanced at his stack. He then counted his own remaining chips carefully before moving all in, Gruissem folded intantly.

Leon Tsoukernik was all in for 910,000 non the {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} turn, the pot was 450,000 until that point. Dietrich Fast was in the think tank and called only to discover that his {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} stood no chance against the {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} of Tsoukernik. "That was an expected straight," Julian Thomas added while the meaningless {7-Diamonds} hit on the river.

Last but not least, Christoph Vogelsang was all in for his last 645,000 out of the small blind with the {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Chi Zhang, who had three-bet all in from the big blind, showed the {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}. The board came {Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Christian Christner joked "that was a cheap re-entry man."

Farewell for Farrell

Level 7 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

On a flop of {4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Niall Farrell was all in and at risk for 895,000 and tabled the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Big Tony not only had the superior stack but also the better hand going into the showdown with the {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}.

The blank {7-Hearts} turn and {4-Diamonds} river brought no improvement for the third-place finisher of the second €25,000 Super High Roller and Farrell headed to the rail.

Sontheimer Out and Back In

Level 7 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Steffen Sontheimer was at risk as he was all in from the small blind and called by Steve O'Dwyer in the cutoff.

Steve O'Dwyer: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Steffen Sontheimer: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} - no help for Sontheimer.

"The High Roller Champ jinxed me!" Sontheimer said referring to Johannes Becker. Becker said Sontheimer had sixes when O'Dwyer flipped his sevens over before Sontheimer even showed his hole cards.

Sontheimer told the floor he wanted to reenter. When he had to draw his new seat card, he selected the top card. He is now seated on O'Dwyers left.

Kaiser Enters; Doubles Stack

Level 8 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Paul Newey and Adrian Mateos are nowhere to be found anymore while Johannes Becker won a big flip with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} against pocket queens thanks to a board of {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Ronny Kaiser entered in the penultimate level and doubled his stack right away. Kaiser raised from the cutoff and was called by Stefan Schillhabel in the small blind and Leon Tsoukernik in the big blind. On the {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, action checked to Kaiser and his bet of 85,000 picked up two callers.

On the {5-Clubs} turn, once again it checked to Kaiser and the Swiss made it 225,000 to go. Only Schillhabel came along this time to see the {6-Clubs} river and checked to Kaiser. The Swiss checked his stack and bet 480,000 with very few chips behind. Schillhabel called for half of his remaining stack and mucked when Kaiser turned over {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for a back door flush.

Zhang Tops His Table

Level 8 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

- Patrik Antonius raised to 65,000 from the cutoff and action folded to Chi Zhang in the big blind. Zhang three-bet to 265,000. Antonius checked out Zhang's stack and four-bet to 615,000. Zhang responded with a five-bet shove and Antonius snap-folded.

- Koray Aldemir raised to 65,000 from the cutoff and Christoph Vogelsang (button) and Orpen Kisacikoglu (big blind) called. They all checked through the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop to the {7-Diamonds} on the turn. Kisacikoglu check-folded to the 145,000 bet of Aldemir. Vogelsang also folded.

- Christoph Vogelsang raised to 70,000 from the cutoff, Chi Zhang three-bet to 205,000 from the button. Vogelsang called. The flop came {6-Spades}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, Vogelsang check-folded when Zhang bet 100,000.

Adams Doubles; Schillhabel Doesn't

Level 8 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In a three-bet pot with 675,000 in the middle to the {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop, the stacks of Timothy Adams and Tobias Ziegler went in the middle with the former holding {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and the latter turning over {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the inferior set. The {7-Clubs} turn brought some chop outs, while the {9-Spades} river locked up the double for Adams.

One table over, Stefan Schillhabel was all in with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and Leon Tsoukernik had isolated with {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} from one seat over. Tsoukernik asked for red cards and instead spiked trips on the board of {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{K-Hearts}. "Johnny," Schillhabel joked to Johannes Becker from one table over and will likely be back shortly for the re-entry.

Philipp Gruissem
Philipp Gruissem

"I busted in the first hand, was trying a bluff and it didn't work," Stefan Schillhabel said when Leon Tsoukernik asked somewhat surprised about what happened. The player that benefited from Schillhabel's move was Patrick Leonard, who boosted his stack nicely.

Timothy Adams open-raised to 1.5 million on the button with Philipp Gruissem and Tobias Ziegler as shorter stacks in the blinds. Gruissem called for his last 645,000 and Ziegler folded.

Philipp Gruissem: {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Timothy Adams: {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The board came {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Gruissem doubled.
