Re-Entry for Cohen

Level 1 : 5,000/10,000, 5,000 ante
Pim Kuipers
Pim Kuipers

"It was a dream scenario that didn't work out," Sam Cohen said after walking out of the tournament area. Cohen will be back shortly on her second bullet for Day 1a after she busted in a three-way three-bet pot against Pim Kuipers.

Cohen had flopped a gutshot and the nut flush draw with {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} only for Kuipers to flop the nut straight with {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} on a board of {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. The chips went in after a raising war on the flop and Cohen failed to get there.

High Rollers Rolled In

Level 1 : 5,000/10,000, 5,000 ante

Some of the players that have played the Super High Rollers over the past days have entered the field, including:

Mamouni "Loses the Minimum"

Level 1 : 5,000/10,000, 5,000 ante

Mohamed Mamouni raised to 25,000 from the hijack and Dermot Blain came along from the big blind. The duo headed to a flop of {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and both players checked. On the {J-Spades} turn, Blain bet 50,000 and Mamouni called before doing so again for 160,000 on the {6-Diamonds} river.

Blain turned over the {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for the flopped straight and Mamouni mucked {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} face up. "You lost the minimum" Blain added while raking in the pot.

Fast of to a Fast Start

Level 1 : 5,000/10,000, 5,000 ante

Artur Wasek, in the cutoff, raised to 20,000 and was called by Dietrich Fast in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, Fast check-called the 20,000 bet of Wasek.

The turn brought them the {8-Hearts}, now Fast check-called the 50,000 bet of Wasek.

The river completed the board with the {8-Diamonds}, pairing the board up. Fast checked once more. Wasek continued with a bet of 125,000, Fast quickly called. Wasek showed {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the pair on the board with the ace-kicker but he was beaten by Fast who tabled {k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for two pair, kings and eights.

Weiemann Crashes Out Early

Level 1 : 5,000/10,000, 5,000 ante

Not even 10 minutes were played and the first player was sent to the rail. With some 350,000 chips in the middle and the turn reading {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Spades} in a battle of the blinds on their four-handed table, Martin Weiemann checked out of the small blind. Daniel Nietrzebka bet 250,000 and Weiemann check-raised all in to pick up an instant call.

Martin Weiemann: {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Daniel Nietrzebka: {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The {A-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and Weiemann was the first casualty of the day.
