Davydov Takes a Hit

Level 3 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, Sergey Terentyev checked out of the big blind and called a bet of 70,000 by Aleksandr Davydov. Both players opted to check the {9-Clubs} on the turn and the {A-Clubs} river completed the board.

Terentyev checked again and Davydov made it 101,000 to go, which resulted in a check-minraise to 202,000 by Terentyev. Davydov folded with a smile on the face and was offered to pick one card. Eventually, the {9-Diamonds} was revealed by Terentyev, who claimed the pot and put a small dent into Davydov's stack.

The same table now also features Kiryl Radzivonau, who is 4th on the all time money list of Belarus and a well-known regular on the international poker circuit.

Denisov Gone

Level 3 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Lev Denisov moved all in for around 150,000 from the hijack and got called by Evgeniy Kochetkov in the small blind, in what was to be a classic race situation.

Lev Denisov: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Evgeniy Kochetkov: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Board: {4-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The flop kept Denisov in the lead, however, Kochetkov picked up additional outs when a straight draw. The turn was no help for Kochetkov, but the river was the queen of spades and gave Kochetkov his straight. The brutal river card meant Denisov was destined to the rail and exited shortly after the first break of the day.

Sai Takes From Yanpolskiy

Level 3 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On the heads-up flop of {Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, Boris Yanpolskiy check-called a bet by Oleksandr Sai in the cutoff and checked again the {K-Spades} on the turn. With 350,000 in the middle until then, Sai now made it 200,000 to go and picked up a quick call.

Yanpolskiy also checked the {K-Clubs} on the river, and Sai needed some time to consider his bet size before making it 300,000 to go. That forced a fold almost immediately and Sai claimed the pot without showdown.

Kotelnikov Doubles Through Ivanov

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 7,000 ante

With some 425,000 in the middle and the completed board showing {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}, Andrey Kotelnikov moved all in out of the blinds and his sole remaining opponent Kirill Ivanov gave it some consideration in the cutoff. Eventually, he tossed in a single chip for the call and Kotelnikov rolled over {A-Spades}{6-Spades} for trips sixes.

That was good enough to double for 401,000, as Ivanov briefly showed his {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} before paying off Kotelnikov. The same table also features Maksim Shulga, Andrey Gulyy and Aleksei Istomin.
