Vsevolod Skorohod has been eliminated in the second level of the day after Mikhail Zverev's pocket tens held.

The board was down {5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, and all of Skorohod's chips were at risk. Zverev had revealed {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for two pair, and Skorohod tapped the table as he mucked his hand and departed the tournament.

Two Satellites Underway; Open Down to Last 49

Two Satellites are currently running in the main poker room at Casino Sochi. One of them will award three seats to Day 1A of the Main Event and there are 12 players out of 39 entries remaining. A Super Satellite for Day 1B has 30 seats guaranteed and kicked off with around 100 players.

In the Triton Poker room, the Open has 49 players remaining. Among those to bust thus far on Day 3 were Sergey Tsoy, Karen Arutyunyan, Andrey Danilyuk, Alireza Sadeghi and Anatolii Zyrin. The latter finished 4th in the 2017 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Russia Main Event for $300,000 and will surely take another shot at glory in this year's edition.

Day 1A of the Main Event currently features a field of 141 entries and two further players were eliminated in Garri Tevosov and Alexandr Savchenko.

Davydov Dominates Early On

Aleksandr Davydov has pulled further away at the top of the counts after raking in yet another big pot over on table 10. Davydov check-called a bet of 300,000 by Sergey Kharlamov on the river of a board {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and was shown the {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for tens and eights by his opponent.

Davydov had that beat with {K-Spades}{6-Spades} for the superior two pair and bumped his stack up to more than 2.5 million.

Shelukhin Gets Value with Trips

With the board down {3-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Alexander Shelukhin saw the action checked to him from Andrey Pateichuk small blind.

Shelukhin bet 205,000, and after a minute of thought, Pateichuk made the call. Shelukhin tabled {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for trip queens, and his opponent mucked. Shelukhin moved up to 1.3m as Pateichuk was left with 700,000.

Ananev Takes From Podofedenko

With some 250,000 already in the middle and the flop showing {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, Sergey Ananev bet 150,000 on the button and his sole remaining opponent Viktor Podofedenko check-called. The {4-Spades} on the turn was checked through and Ananev also checked the {K-Diamonds} on the river.

Podofedenko gave up the hand and checked, as did Ananev, and Podofedenko rolled over the {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Ananev had that beat with {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and claimed the pot.

Inederkin Doubles With Ace-King

Lisii Takes It on the Flop

The action started with a raise by Viktor Ustimov in the hijack to 23,000 and Aleksandr Pustovoy called from one seat over in the cutoff. Serghei Lisii three-bet to 120,000 on the button and Ustimov called, while Pustovoy sent his cards into the muck.

On the {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, Ustimov checked and snap-folded when facing a continuation bet of 78,000 by Lisii, who claimed the pot right there. Lisii's biggest cash to date was a deep run in the 2017 World Series of Poker Europe €1,100 Little One for One Drop, in which he finished 7th for €20,710.

Zvorygin Takes From Zamiga

Sergei Zvorygin bet 200,000 from middle position into a pot that was already worth around 450,000. Zamiga was sat with a stack of around 450,000 in the hijack and gave himself a minute to think before he made the call.

Zvorygin revealed {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for two pair, and Zamiga conceded the pot, which left him on 250,000.
