After eight levels of play, a busy Day 1c of the 2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK Main Event has come to an end. There was no lack of action on the tables as British pros, international poker stars, and the many qualifiers took their seats to battle the rest of the field to make it through to Day 2.

At the end of Level 8, the tournament clock showed that there were 576 entries in total of which 360 managed to find a bag to tag. Taking the chip lead is Alexandre Gomes with 6,120,000 in chips. Trailing him in second place is Christopher Vernon with 5,325,000 and and closing the podium is Thomas MacDonald with 5,265,000. Two more players who managed to bag over the 5 million mark are Richard Hoadley (5,250,000), and Tom Winstone.

The partypoker pros have all had a pretty good day. Leading the partypoker representatives is Roberto Romanello with 3,700,000, also through are Anatoly Filatov (2,800,000), Carl Froch (2,235,000), Kristen Bicknell (1,690,000), Marcel Luske (1,055,000), Joni Jouhkimainen (930,000), Natalia Breviglieri (820,000), and Boris Becker with 535,000.

Also through to Day 2 are notable players like Mustapha Kanit with 4,470,000, Dominik Nitsche with 4,935,000 who won the €10,300 High Roller during the MILLIONS Germany festival and finished in fourth place during the Grand Final Main Event in Barcelona. Juan Pardo actually finished as the runner in the same Main Event and bagged 3,000,000.

2013 WSOP Main Event Champion Ryan Riess (3,605,000), Paul Newey (3,295,000), Preben Stokkan (3,000,000), Max Silver (2,120,000), Jack Sinclair (1,940,000), and many more finished with a stack to tag at the end of the day.

The full chip counts for the 357 surviving Day 1c players will be posted as soon as PokerNews receives them from the organization. This is also the case for the Day 2 seat draw.

With all entries over the first three starting days and the online Day 1, the total number of entries is now 800. With registration till open until 5 PM local time on Day 2, who knows who else will still be jumping into the Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of a whopping £5,000,000.

Richard Herbert raised from the button, and Kalidou Sow moved all in for 270,000 from the small blind. Matthew Hopkins was in the big blind and called before Herbert folded.

Kalidou Sow: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Matthew Hopkins: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Board: {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{a-Hearts}

The flop and turn were no good for Frenchman Sow, and he was moving from his seat to depart before the river paired his ace and secured a full double up.
