Carrel Survives All-In on the Bubble

Level 17 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

Charlie Carrel open shoved 3,525,000 from the button, and Christian Willax used a time bank card before he called from the small blind.

Charlie Carrel: {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Christian Willax: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The flip went Carrel's way, as the runout {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Clubs} clinched the double up. The tournament is still on the bubble.

Eliminated Before the Money

Level 17 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Ruzicka Doesn't Waste Time

Level 17 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Vojtech Ruzicka
Vojtech Ruzicka

Vojtech Ruzicka sat on the button and the player in the cutoff took the entire 30 seconds to fold. Ruzicka immediately fired a bet of 425,000 when it was on him, even before the dealer could start his 30-second countdown. The small blind folded quickly and Hannes Speiser quickly pushed his last 2,700,000 to the middle.

Ruzicka wanted a count and Speiser quickly announced 2.7 million. The dealer started to count his stack but Ruzicka quickly folded as he thought it was a bit too much.

Zoufri Rivers a Flush

Level 17 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

The board read {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and there was about 2,000,000 in the middle already when both Abdelhakim Zoufri from the big blind and Robin Hegele from the under-the-gun position checked.

The river was the {a-Hearts} and Zoufri led out with a bet of 725,000. Hegele thought about it for a bit before calling but Zoufri turned over {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a rivered flush and Hegele wasn't able to beat that.

With {3-Clubs}{10-Spades}{a-Spades}{6-Spades} showing, Jozsef Liszkovic checked from the cutoff, and Mauricio Pais put in a bet for 900,000.

Sinclair Makes Carrel Fold

Level 17 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Jack Sinclair opened from early position to 425,000 and Charlie Carrel called from the cutoff. The {q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop was dealt and Sinclair slowed down but check-called a bet of 475,000 from Carrel.

The {7-Spades} was dealt on the turn and both checked. The {4-Clubs} completed the board on the river and Sinclair bet again. He put 750,000 in front of him and that bet made Carrel muck his hand.

Marek Blasko opened to 350,000 under the gun, and Sam Grafton called from the hijack.

Blasko checked the {7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop, and Grafton bet 625,000, which Blasko called.

Both players checked through both the turn {2-Spades} and river {3-Diamonds}, and Blasko took the pot with {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} against Grafton's {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

Pace of Play Severely Slowed Down

Level 16 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

The pace of play has severely slowed down over the last level. Players are using their full thirty seconds before making a decision and they are even using time bank cards to extend their time.

One of the examples is a small pot won by Kenny Hallaert. The Belgian raised from the button to 380,000 and Vladimir Cerny used two time bank cards before he folded in the small blind.

Andreas Klatt sat waiting until his thirty seconds ran out before he gave his cards back to the dealer.
