Fish's Run Comes to an End

Level 9 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Darryll Fish
Darryll Fish

Sam Greenwood opened to 50,000 from under the gun and the action folded to Darryll Fish in the small blind. Fish jammed all in for 410,000 and Greenwood flicked in a chip to call.

Greenwood: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Fish: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Greenwood's pair of sevens held up to eliminate Fish. Despite making it all the way to second place in this event last year, Fish's run came to an end earlier than what he was hoping for this year.

Metalidi Continues to Climb

Level 9 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Artem Metalidi raised it up from early position and was called by both of the blinds. The flop came {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and all three players checked to the {6-Diamonds} on the turn.

The blinds checked again and Metalidi tossed in a bet of 165,000. Bas de Laat was the only player to call from the small blind.

The river was the {2-Clubs} and de Laat checked again. Metalidi went into the tank for a couple of minutes before reaching back for a bet of 525,000. It wasn't much of a decision for de Laat who quickly threw his cards to the muck.

Seiver Lays One Down to Wong

Level 9 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

In a three-bet pot, Scott Seiver and Ying Wong were heads-up on a flop of {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Seiver checked from the small blind and Wong bet 200,000 into a pot of over 250,000. Seiver called and the {9-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Seiver checked again and Wong barrelled another 300,000. Seiver was in a dilemma and tried to talk it out. "Anything could come on the river, right?" as he splashed in a call.

It was the {7-Hearts} on the river and Seiver checked one more time. Wong thought for a moment and then moved all in for his last 370,000 chips. Seiver went into the tank for a minute as well but eventually decided to fold.
