Beresford Gets It Done on the Turn

Level 16 : 3,000/7,000, 7,000 ante

Conor Beresford raised it up from the cutoff and Roger Basil called from the small blind. The flop came {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Basil checked to Beresford who continued for 32,000. Basil called and the {10-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

Basil checked again and Beresford counted out another bet of 95,000. Basil thought for a minute and even counted out some calling chips, but decided to send his cards to the muck.

Kisacikoglu Doubes Through Margereson After Set Over Set

Level 16 : 3,000/7,000, 7,000 ante

Scott Margereson opened to 14,000 pre-flop and Orpen Kisacikoglu three-bet to 42,000. Margereson called.

The flop came {9-Spades}{q-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Margereson checked to Kisacikoglu who thought before betting 35,000. Margereson called and checked the {k-Spades} turn.

Kisacikoglu tanked once more and Jared Jaffee eventually called the clock on him. He bet 75,000 and Margereson called.

The river was the {2-Clubs} and Margereson checked for a third time. Kisacikoglu moved all in, acting quicker than on previous streets, and Margereson rechecked his hole cards before calling.

Kisacikoglu showed {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for a set of queens and Margereson slammed {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} face up on the table in a manner befitting a player showing down a winner. Only it wasn't. Kisacikoglu's double was for 201,000 chips.

Shorr Does Aldemir Dirty

Level 16 : 3,000/7,000, 7,000 ante

Shannon Shorr was all in for 163,000 with {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} against the {a-Spades}{k-Spades} of Koray Aldemir. Aldemir looked like the likelier of the two to flop a flush draw, but it was Shorr who looked for a way to break out from a potential chop on a {10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop.

And it was the American who was pushing his stack out after the {8-Clubs} turn came, completing his flush, and he was already breaking it down by the time the {k-Diamonds} appeared on the river.

Burns Finds a Double Up

Level 16 : 3,000/7,000, 7,000 ante

Pablo Brito Silva raised it up from middle position and Kahle Burns defended from the big blind. The flop came {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Burns check-called a bet from Silva.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and Burns checked again. Silva fired out another 55,000 and Burns thought for a minute before shoving all in for 120,000. Silva quickly called and tabled {a-Spades}{j-Spades}. Unfortunately for him, Burns whipped over {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a straight and already locked up the pot and a full double up.

Jeremy Pekarek
Jeremy Pekarek

Jeremy Pekarek was raking in a monster pot after doubling for 858,000 through Goran Mandic.

According to Pekarek, he opened and got one call before Mandic three-bet to somewhere in the region of 80,000. Pekarek then four-bet to 250,000 forcing out the caller.

Mandic then moved all in and Pekarek called. Mandic held {a-}{k-} against the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} of Pekarek, which held on the {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} run out and he moved up to 1.7 million in chips.
