Mojaverian Doubles Through Fabian

Level 8 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Stefan Fabian
Stefan Fabian

A big pot unfolded when Omid Mojaverian raised to 4,500 in the cutoff and Stefan Fabian three-bet the button to 14,000. Mojaverian then four-bet to 34,500 and Fabian called. As the flop came {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades}, the continuation bet of Mojaverian for 23,000 was called.

The {3-Hearts} turn brought another bet worth 53,000 and a call. Mojaverian then tank-checked the {4-Hearts} on the river and Fabian moved all-in almost immediately. Mojaverian now tanked for another three minutes and then called all-in for 123,400. Fabian rolled over {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for a missed flush draw and his opponent doubled with the {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for top pair.

Late Casualties on Day 1a

Level 8 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Mosboeck Sends Er to the Rail

Level 8 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Mario Mosboeck bet the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop for 5,000 to earn a call by Zorlu Er and then bet the {2-Spades} on the turn for another 12,000. Zorlu Er jammed for the 30,000 he had behind and Mosboeck called.

Zorlu Er: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Mario Mosboeck: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The {9-Clubs} river further improved Mosboeck and Er left the tournament area with a grin on the face.

Andreas Christoforou

On the tail end of a bigger pot, Andreas Christoforou bet the {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} river for more than 35,000 and earned a call. His opponent was unable to beat the {a-Spades}{4-Spades} of Christorofou and the Cypriot chipped up in the final level of the night.

Er Doubles Through Atsiz

Level 8 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

A squeeze to 20,000 was in front of Muharrem Atsiz on the button and Zorlu Er then pushed for 87,600. Atsiz gave it some consideration and made the call after both players exchanged some words in Turkish.

Zorlu Er: {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Muharrem Atsiz: {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Er could all but laugh on the {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop but he got there with the {5-Diamonds} turn. Nothing changed anymore on the {a-Spades} river and Er doubled. Atsiz remains the current chip leader by some margin, though.

Madanzhiev Loses Another All-In Contest

Level 7 : 900/1,800, 1,800 ante
Stoyan Madanzhiev
Stoyan Madanzhiev

On a completed board of {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, Stoyan Madanzhiev pushed into Mohammadreza Amini and the latter called with the slightly inferior stack. Amini tabled the {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a flush and Madanzhiev stormed out of the tournament area. However, he still has a few chips left that may get blinded out at some point.

Clicking Buttons For the Win

Level 7 : 900/1,800, 1,800 ante

A squeeze to 17,500 was in front of Aleksandr Kinzhalov and the small blind then made it 40,000 to go. Kinzhanlov reraised to 90,000 and his opponent sigh-folded.

"You folded queens?" Kush Vinod asked and the small replied "no; I just made a move." AT the current rate, Kinzhalov may very well become a contender for the overnight chip lead.

Atsiz Keeps Building Stack

Level 7 : 900/1,800, 1,800 ante

Muharrem Atsiz appears to be among the biggest stacks right now and was just involved in a pot with Stoyan Madanzhiev. They eventually checked down the {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Atsiz was the first to show. He turned over {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for sixes and fours, which won the pot as Madanzhiev mucked.
