Sowinski pays Off Barindik

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

Joining the action on the {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{a-Spades} turn, Musa Barindik made it 13,500 to go in the small blind. Piotr Sowinski gave it some thought and called. Barindik also bet the {k-Diamonds} river for 15,000 and Sowinski called to get shown the {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for bottom set, which won the pot.

Despite losing this hand, Sowinski remains among the biggest stacks in the room.

Pyzara Busts Okten

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante
Kacper Pyzara
Kacper Pyzara

Kacper Pyzara raised from under the gun and earned a three-bet to 12,000 by Sercan Okten in the small blind. Marwan Salamoun called from the big blind for Pyzara to make it 30,000 to go. Okten then jammed, Salamoun folded and Pyzara snap-called.

Sercan Okten: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Kacper Pyzara: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and Okten was sent to the rail for the second time on Day 1a.

Labaky Doubles Through Vinod

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

Antoine Labaky jammed for 70,600 preflop and Kush Vinod reluctantly called, which forced out the third player in the hand.

Antoine Labaky: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Kush Vinod: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Labaky doubled. "I don't really want to flip so early in the tournament," Vinod added in table chat but had done so anyways.

Recent Eliminations and a Double

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

Ran Azor and Constantinos Loizou were eliminated whereas Makarios Avramidis survived. He doubled for just 30,700 with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} versus {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} as no eight or straight appeared on the board.

Ozdilaver Takes From Tawil

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

On the tail end of a medium-sized pot between Khalil Tawil and John Ozdilaver, the latter bet 10,000. Tawil called out of the small blind and was shown the {q-Spades}{4-Spades} for a full house. Tawil exposed {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for an inferior boat and lost just a small fraction of his stack.

Essential Triple Up for Aydemir

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante
Recep Aydemir
Recep Aydemir

Mantas Nanartavicius raied to 3,000 and Farouk Al Gosaibi three-bet to 14,000 in the cutoff. Recep Aydemir then four-bet jammed for 98,400 and Nanartavicius asked for a count. He then shipped it in and Al Gosaibi called for fewer than that.

Farouk Al Gosaibi: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Recep Aydemir: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Mantas Nanartavicius: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The {j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board connected with neither player and ace-king high was enough to scoop it all.

Madanzhiev Appears and Disappears

Level 4 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a completed board of {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Stoyan Madanzhiev was all-in with the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} and he picked up a call by Saman Nakhjavani with {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for a pair of sevens. Madanzhiev only entered recently and vanished but will certainly be back at some point in this re-entry format.

"Okay, don't bluff this guy," Piotr Sowinski in the eight seat joked.
