partypoker Ambassadors Mikita Badziakouski (5,716,808) and Kristen Bicknell (2,461,804) have made it through to Day 2 while things didn't go well for Matt Staples, John Duthie, Isaac Haxton, Joao Simao, Joni Jouhikimainen, and Patrick Leonard won't be returning to try and win their share of the prize pool.

Mary Pudmoreff won her Main Event seat when she was selected by Kristen Bicknell on Twitter and even though she took out Timothy Adams and stayed alive a few times, her run came to an end when her stack went in on the turn with pocket kings. Unfortunately for her, Dean Arsenie had hit a set of tens to send the Canadian out of the tournament without cashing either.

When play resumes on Day 2, the level duration will be increased to 30 minutes each. The first level of the day features a small blind of 70,000, a big blind of 140,000, and a running ante of 17,500. Ten levels of play are on the menu before the remaining players will break for Day 3.

Mary Pudmoreff's Run Comes To An End

Mary Pudmoreff
Mary Pudmoreff

Mary Pudmoreff, the winner of Kristen Bicknell's Main Event seat giveaway, has ran out of chips in the 12th level of the day. Holding {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, Pudmoreff got it in on a {8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} board with already a sizable pot brewing.

Unfortunately for her, Dean Arsenie had turned a set of tens with his {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and after the {8-Clubs} river, Pudmoreff's Main Event dream was over in 215th place.

This is how Pudmoreff won her free seat

Matt Staples Eliminated from the MILLIONS Online Main Event

Cheong vs Staples
Cheong vs Staples

It wasn't the day of partypoker streamer Matt Staples, who bubbled a Main Event satellite earlier tonight. After bricking the sat, Staples decided to put up the full $5,300 himself but to no avail.

At the end of level 5, Staples got it in with {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} against chipleader Joseph Cheong's {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. The board ran out clean to eliminate Staples from contention, who has decided not to reenter as of yet.

Chess Grandmaster Ottomar Ladva Spins $530 Into $525K Payday!

Ottomar Ladva
Ottomar Ladva

The massive MILLIONS Online #11 6-Max Super High Roller concluded on Wednesday with Estonia's Ottomar Ladva taking home the gold and banking $525,089 in the process. Ladva overcame a stacked field of 70 players to claim the biggest prize of his career.

A well-known poker player in his home country, Ladva has been making a name for himself on the international level as well. Even more impressive is the Estonian qualified into the tournament for just $530.

Before getting into the action on Day 1, Ladva turned a $530 feeder into a $2,650 direct satellite, then subsequently won the satellite before shipping the Super High Roller itself. Talk about ROI!

The event was live broadcasted on the partypoker TV Twitch and YouTube channels. Check out the YouTube video below for full final table action.

partypoker tweeted the following clip of the final hand of the night.

As mentioned, Ladva's well-known in his home country, but it's not (yet) for his poker ability. The Estonian is a four-time Estonian Chess Champion and a Grandmaster since 2015. Needless to say, his transition into poker has been paying dividends, and his incredulous victory sparked comments from notables around the poker world.

Among those to respond was Mike McDonald, who shortlisted Ladva as a possible candidate for best chess & poker player combined.

With the massive windfall, it's all but certain that Ladva will be making a splash in some big events down the line.

Get to Know Mary Pudmoreff, Winner of a FREE $5,300 MILLIONS Online Main Event Seat

Recently, partypoker pro Kristen Bicknell (@krissyb24poker) ran a Twitter-competition that offered a free seat in the $5,300 MILLIONS Main Event. The challenge was as follows:

Mary Pudmoreff (@Gr8Bluff) took on the challenge and responded to Bicknell with a 57-second clip to try and convince the team. Pudmoreff is a psychologist from Edmonton, Alberta who provides mental care to first responders, doctors, and others that have been so deeply affected by the coronavirus.

At first glance, you might not notice anything out of the ordinary. Nothing to see here, right?

Wrong.

You see, there's something about Mary: her massive passion for poker.

Being a psychologist involves a lot of emotional stress at times. To relieve some of that pressure, at night, Pudmoreff morphs into a poker grinder ready to duke it out on the digital felt and relieve unsuspecting adversaries of their precious chips.

Check out Pudmoreff's entry below. Believe us when we say, it's not one you want to miss.

Needless to say, Bicknell and partypoker were convinced. Pudmoreff won the contest and received a FREE $5,300 MILLIONS Online Main Event seat. We'll track Mary's progression throughout the tournament as she takes a swing at the $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool tonight.
