With 316 entries on Day 1a of the World Cup of Cards #05 Main Event, the tournament is well on its way to surpassing the $1,000,000 guarantee as there are three more starting flights.

Armin Rezaei is leading the 222 remaining players and holds Michal Proksa, Jan Strazisar, James Whittet, and Guillaime Nolet behind in in the top five.

partypoker Ambassador Joao Simao is sitting in 28th place. Jaime Staples (92nd) is the only other partypoker representative left for now as registration and reentry is still possible for around 80 minutes.

There are now 23 players left in the field with Sylvain Loosli in the lead. He is joined by David Coleman, Simon Grabenschweiger, Tobias Schwecht, and Daniel Smiljkovic in the top five.

Leonard was all-in with {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} against the {a-Spades}{j-Spades} of Christian Rudolph with the board reading {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades} when all the cards had been dealt.

But for Staples, it's the fourth week in a row for him to cash with his deepest run taking place last week when he finished in fourteenth place.

Right now, there are 41 players left in The Grand with 39 of them getting paid at least $1,195.

Volodymyr Trubanov is in the lead and followed by Julio Chia, Jose Alarcon, Joao De Brito, and Christian Rudolph in the top five.
