Best Dressed Player Eliminated

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Timothy Weltner
Timothy Weltner

Timothy Weltner was easily the best-dressed player in today's Day 1e field. Maybe this was a matter of opinion, but he is the only player that dressed to the nines with a jacket and tie.

However, being the best dressed doesn't always equate to success.

Weltner has been hovering around the starting stack until the dinner break when his stack fell to around 70,000. His ace-king was no good against an opponent holding pocket aces using the nickname BigKing777.

Yesterday Weltner shared with PokerNews that he plans to be in Rozvadov playing poker until Tuesday, so we may see him re-enter the Main Event or instead play in one or more of the side events.

Breviglieri Eliminated on a Four Outer by Kehya

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Natalia Breviglieri
Natalia Breviglieri

Partypoker Ambassador Natalia Breviglieri miraculously ran up a short-stack in the Charity Event earlier today to raise €10,000 for the Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

She was unable to do the same in the Main Event after her opening stack was down to around 60,000.

Breviglieri jammed the rest of her 40,000 chip stack into the pot on a {10-Spades}{k-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} board and was called by Netherlands' Sonay Kehya.

Kehya held {q-}{3-} for two pair and was well behind the {k-}{10-} held by Breviglieri for a better two pair. However, Kehya got one of the four outs he needed when a {q-} completed the board on the river.

It is uncertain whether Breviglieri will re-enter the Day 1e field as she quickly left the tournament area after the hand was completed. Meanwhile, Kehya is in good position to bag chips with his stack growing to 326,000.

Players Back in Their Seats

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Players are back from the dinner break. Blinds went up to 800/1,600 with an ante of 200.

The next break will occur in three more levels after Level 9 is completed. Late registration will end after Level 10 is concluded. This also marks the end of the time players can take advantage of their one re-entry per day if they so choose.

Day 1e will be completed two more levels after this or once Level 12 is in the books.

Satellite Guarantees 20 Main Event Seats

Level 6 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

A €165 satellite just kicked off and guarantees to pay out at least 20 partypoker Live MILLION Germany Main Event seats.

Today's Day 1e field of the Main Event has grown to 130 entrants, which is close to the 145 that entered the first four opening days combined. With late registration open for another four levels until Level 10 is in the books, today's field will still grow.

Josef Antos Reaches Half a Million with Pocket Rockets

Level 6 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Czech Republic's Josef Antos is among the chip leaders and possibly the first player to reach at least 500,000 in chips.

He recently got into a preflop raising battle holding pocket aces against an opponent holding pocket kings. His opponent eventually declared himself all in for around 235,000 and Antos quickly called having his opponent covered by 30,000. The board ran out blanks for both players and after the hand, Antos' chip stack was five times of what he started with.

We earlier mentioned in our coverage that Germany's Timothy Weltner won his very first tournament as part of a deal he made in the PokerNews Cup Opening Event.

Also part of that deal was Matúš "Matty" Schnierer who is one of the many local Czech players that entered today's Day 1e field ready for battle.

He shared that he was "up and down" all day long and now has a stack of 75,000 chips. Schnierer also has dealt cards in the past and is now looking for his first big score. He currently has over $42,000 in live tournament cashes according to the Hendon Mob which includes many final table finishes. Most recently, he took 52nd place in the partypoker Grand Prix Germany Main Event for €1,550.
