Peralta Felted by Mikolaitis

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

On a flop of {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}, the stacks went in between Eugenio Peralta and Dominykas Mikolaitis. It was the former at risk in a pot worth nearly 6.4 million.

Eugenio Peralta: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Dominykas Mikolaitis: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The {7-Hearts} turn shut down all hopes of Peralta as he was left drawing dead, and the {2-Clubs} river became a mere formality.

Fewer Than 100 Remain

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Miha Travnik was the last player to depart when his short stack ride came to an end with {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Jeremy Saderne looked him up with the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and both players missed the flop and turn. Saderne rivered an ace for good measure to deal the final blow, as the field dipped below 100 remaining contenders.

Dvoress Also Busts Filatov

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante
Filatov vs Dvoress
Filatov vs Dvoress

Daniel Dvoress min-raised to 240,000 from under the gun and was called by Jeremy Saderne. Anatoly Filatov then jammed the button for 1,082,678 and Dvoress reraised to 1,925,356, which got rid of Saderne.

Anatoly Filatov: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Daniel Dvoress: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Thanks to a board of {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}, the pair held and Filatov was gone. Dvoress dragged in another big pot right after to cement his status as the chip leader.

O'Dwyer Builds Stack Further

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer raised it up and called a three-bet by Robert Heidorn to create a pot of 1.74 million to the {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop. Both players checked and the {9-Clubs} turn paired the board.

O'Dwyer now turned up the aggression and that immediately shut down Heidorn.

Meless Eliminated by Hoesel

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Joshua Hoesel raised to 264,000 and Aleksejs Meless three-bet to 1,080,000 out of the small blind. Hoesel made the call and came along when Meless continued for 600,000 on the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop. Meless had some 2 million behind and those went in after the {7-Hearts} turn, Hoesel called.

Meless tabled {a-}{k-} and Hoesel was ahead with the {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for the top two pair. A blank followed on the river and Meless departed not far away from the end of the night. Only 94 players currently remain and 89 will advance to Day 2.

Closing in On the End of the Day

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Play has slowed down a bit as all 94 remaining players are trying to make Day 2 which also means that they will min-cash.

The board read {4-Clubs}{a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} with 2,900,000 in the middle.

Arnaud Enselme bet 2,320,000 from the big blind for Daniel Lazrus to consider his options for a bit from the button but he opted to fold.

Kocab Catches a Double

Level 18 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Down to 11 blinds, Jiri Kocab jammed it in from the under the gun position and was called by Steve O'Dwyer in the cutoff.

Kocab tabled the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and was trailing against O'Dwyer's {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}. However, he spiked top pair on the {k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and made that top two pair on the {j-Spades} turn. Only a ten could help O'Dwyer and the river was a blank {7-Hearts}.

Triple Up for Selouan

Level 19 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante

Daniel Dvoress min-raised and picked up a call by Jeremy Saderne in the cutoff. Rodrigo Selouan jammed his short stack of around 1 million out of the small blind and was called by Dvoress and Saderne.

On the {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Dvoress check-called a bet worth 753,192 by Saderne and did so again on the {a-Spades} turn for 840,000. The {q-Clubs} river was checked by both active players and Selouan tabled the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. That ended up securing a triple up, as Dvoress' {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} was third-best, Selouan won the side pot against the Canadian with {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Vasylchenko Leaves Heidorn Short

Level 19 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante

Joining the action on the {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds} turn with 1,232,000 in the middle, Robert Heidorn checked out of the big blind. Oleg Vasylchenko bet 776,160 on the button and Heidorn invested some precious seconds of his time bank before making the call.

The {2-Diamonds} on the river was checked and Heidorn rolled over {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, which Vasylchenko had beat with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.
