"njpokeraa": {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
"Hanadog9": {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

An eight-high runout {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} left "njpokeraa" with the best hand, earning the double with top pair, top kicker just a handful of minutes before the registration period is set to close.

"JinYang"

"JasonOffendel": {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
"JinYang": {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

When the runout was finished, "JinYang" had connected with two of the three outs they had in the deck as the board came {2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{a-Hearts} to give them trips, earning them te pot and the knockout to take their stack over 300,000.

Hand #1: In Level 16 with blinds of 3,000/6,000 and an ante of 750, "Ilija" got all in for around 100,000 in the hijack and received action from "KingsWin" in middle position.

"Ilija": {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
"KingsWin": {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The flop {2-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Clubs} left "Ilija" in bad shape after coming into the runout with a sizeable advantage. The turn {9-Hearts} and river {j-Spades} were of no help and they were sent to the rail as a result.

Hand #2: On another table at the same exact time, "MatchupProof" and "Gohednpopoff" got all in preflop for a pot of just under 300,000. "MatchupProof" had the chip advantage by 10,000, meaning both players were playing for an effective double.

"Gohednpopoff": {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
"MatchupProof": {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

"MatchupProof" was able to hold as the board came {j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades} to earn them the pot and the knockout, eliminating "Gohednpopoff" as a result.

BorgataPoker.com has a trio of Sponsored Pros, and one of them is Katie Stone, who has been active in the 2020 Borgata Spring Poker Open Online Series.

Stone has more than $176K in lifetime live tournament earnings including a career-bet $33,305 for finishing 378th in the 2018 World Series of Poker Main Event. In addition, Stone has three Borgata Open titles including the 2018 Borgata Fall Poker Open $300 Deepest Stack for $19,337, 2017 Borgata Summer Poker Open $300 Ladies Event for $2,867, and 2017 Borgata Fall Poker Open $300 Deepstack for $9,484. She also recently won the CSOP Borgata Winter Poker Open Event back in January.

However, where Stone has really thrived is online where she’s amassed more than $900K in lifetime earnings. Of that, $146,954 has come on BorgataPoker.com where she plays under the screen name “KatieStone.”

According to a Q&A she did with the Borgata Blog, Stone was born and raised in New Jersey, but after Black Friday in 2011, she relocated to Rosarito, Mexico in order to continue playing online. When New Jersey authorized Atlantic City casinos to offer online gaming within state borders, Stone moved back north to New Jersey and picked up where she left off — winning!

Recently, Stone took the initiative to create the Discord channel “Poker Peeps Affected By COVID19” and invited those in casino industry affected by recent shutdowns to join.

“I realized how tough it was going to be for everyone to keep up with everything and everyone, with so much changing so fast,” Stone recently told PokerNews. “So, I messaged my friend Cy Watson, who has been very active on social media as well regarding Coronavirus, asking him if he thought it would be a good idea to start a chat for people in the industry to be able to connect with each other for help.”

She continued: “I think the main thing poker players and everyone can do is to keep an open mind. Understanding that this is unlike any situation any of us have encountered before, and so thinking outside the box can go a long way. Taking the time to improve a skill, or learn a new skill whether it's a game or something else could be really beneficial not just financially, but mentally.”

"Hanadog9" Takes the Chip Lead at Start of Level 16

Level 16 has begun with blinds of 3,000/6,000 and an ante of 750, and "Hanadog9" finds themselves atop the leader board after winning a pot in the last hand of the previous level that took them to just shy of 350,000.

The field has grown to 90, and 27 remain across three full tables of play.

"rumpthumper" Wins a Big Coin Flip

"rumpthumper"

In Level 15 with blinds of 2,500/5,000 and an ante of 625, all of the chips got in the middle preflop between "JinYang" in the cutoff and "rumpthumper," who was on the button.

"JinYang": {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
"rumpthumper": {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The flop fell {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{j-Clubs} to keep "rumpthumper" ahead, but the turn {10-Clubs} provided a small sweat as "JinYang" picked up four more outs to Broadway. However, "rumpthumper" would be the one to complete the backdoor straight on the river {7-Hearts} to win the pot and send "JinYang" to rebuy.

"JinYang" quickly found a triple and immediately finds themselves with an average stack just moments after losing the coin flip for a pot of more than 250,000.

Forty Minutes Left To Enter

Level 15 has begun with blinds of 2,500/5,000 and an ante of 625. Four 10-minute levels remain in the registration period, which will be closing at 10:48 p.m. ET.

Here's a look at some players to have been eliminated over the last few levels.

"KingsWin" Holds For a Knockout

"KingsWin"
"KingsWin"

In Level 14 with blinds of 2,000/4,000 and an ante of 500, "KingsWin" opened the action with a raise to 14,000 in middle position and "roystalin" three-bet jammed for 51,000 in the hijack. Action folded back to "KingsWin" and they called.

"roystalin": {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
"KingsWin": {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. "KingsWin" saw the other two tens in the deck added to the list of six immediate outs that "roystalin" held in addition to picking up a backdoor flush draw. However, that was the closest "roystalin" would get as the turn {3-Spades} and river {j-Diamonds} left "KingsWin" on top to earn the pot and the knockout.
