David "TheKing411" Coleman Talks About Big partypoker US Network WPT Online Poker Open Win

Level 32 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante

At the beginning of July, the partypoker US Network in New Jersey reached a sizzling conclusion when the WPT Online Poker Open, which combined fields from partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker crowned a winner. The Main Event drew a field of 868 entries, generating a lofty $317,540 prize pool which surpassed its $300k guarantee. It marked the largest ever event for the New Jersey online poker network surpassing the $302,100 prize pool for the $320 buy-in partypoker US Network $250K GTD back on March 29.

In the end, it was David "TheKing411" Coleman who emerged victorious for a payday of $56,586. In addition to the first-place prize, he also earned a WPT Championship Trophy and an $11,000 prize package which includes entry into the next WPT in-person live event, the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic, which will take place at Bellagio in Las Vegas ($10,400 buy-in), as well as $600 in cash towards travel expenses.

David Coleman spoke to PokerNews about the win.

"chaposticks" Cracks Kings; Two Tables Remain

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante
"chaposticks"
"chaposticks"

"Richardg1289" opened in the hijack and received calls from "chaposticks" in the small blind and "sandman9876" in the big blind to bring about a pot of 570,000.

The flop dropped {5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and "sandman9876" led out with a bet of 198,000. "Richardg1289" shoved over the top for 3 million and "chaposticks" re-shoved to put "sandman9876" to a decision for all their chips. "sandman9876" folded and the other two players' hands were shown.

"Richardg1289": {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
"chaposticks": {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

"Richardg1289" had run their kings into a set of treys and the turn {2-Spades} and river {6-Spades} brought no help, resulting in their elimination from the tournament.

Shortly before that, "youngkoi", "PokerKarma", and "TyForDaChips" were also eliminated from the tournament. Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd also found the rail just after "Richardg1289", and the slew of eliminations has brought the field down to just 16 players across two tables of play.

"TiltedMick" Can't Get There

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante
"TiltedMick"
"TiltedMick"

"TiltedMick" got the last of their chips all in preflop in middle position and received action from "chen718" in the small blind.

"TiltedMick": {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
"chen718": {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

"TiltedMick" saw their odds improve as the flop {3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} gave them the nut-flush draw to go along with their three overcard outs. However, that was the closest they would get to a double as the turn {7-Clubs} and river {k-Hearts} completed the runout to result in their elimination from the tournament.

"COMEATTHEKING" was also eliminated shortly beforehand, while "RiverMan" was then eliminated on another table when their pocket sixes were unable to hold to the king-jack of "supremetny," who has further increased their chip lead and is now up to 18.6 million.

Next Round of Payouts

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Three tables of eight players each now remain as the following players have been eliminated in 25th-32nd place.

Chip Count Update

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante

"chen718" Calls Correctly For Stacks

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante
"chen718"
"chen718"

There was 1.93 million in the pot on a board of {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} with heads-up action between "chen718" in the big blind and "soduediligent," who was in middle position.

"chen718" had checked and was facing an overbet-shove of 1.93 million by "soduediligent," a number that represented over 90% of their remaining stack. After some serious thought, "chen718" found a call.

"soduediligent": {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
"chen718": {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}

"chen718" had called off almost all of their chips on the river with second pair and it wound up to be correct as "soduediligent" had a busted Broadway draw and was caught bluffing for their tournament life.

Sinishtaj Gets Another Double

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante

After earning a double in the previous level, Tony "ToNiSiNzz" Sinishtaj once again found himself as one of the shorter stacks in the tournament and shoved his remaining 1.2 million into the middle in the hijack. "IamLucyy" went all in over the top for 1.4 million and everybody else folded.

Tony "ToNiSiNzz" Sinishtaj: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
"IamLucyy": {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

No help came for Sinishtaj on the flop {4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, but both the turn {a-Diamonds} and river {k-Clubs} were the cards he was looking for and he earned the double with aces up.
