Loewen Doubles Again

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Prashanth Nataraj opened under the gun for 5,000 and Xiangqun Lin three-bet all in for 39,500 from middle position. Action was on Gregory Loewen who moved his 37,500 in the middle sitting behind Lin. Action folded back around to Nataraj who mucked his hand and the two players tabled their hands.

Xiangqun Lin: {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Gregory Loewen: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Lin liked what he saw as soon as the cards were flipped over but hated the {j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop.

The {5-Hearts} fell on the turn and Lin was calling for an ace on the river but it didn't come as it fell the {2-Hearts} to leave Lin with only 2,000.

Lin found a double-up but was eliminated shortly after.

Both players checked the {k-Clubs} turn and Shope fired out 20,000 after the {q-Spades} came on the river.

After getting a confirmed amount, Serebrinskiy called only to see Shope rivered the staright with {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} to win the pot.

Rafael Polanco: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Doug Shrik: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Loewen was ahead with his made hand and improved to a set on the {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop.

The {k-Clubs} turn paired Polanco but the {a-Diamonds} fell on the river to send him home while Loewen got the much needed triple-up.
