Another Round of Chip Counts

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Ace-High Good Enough for Olivieri to Double

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Nick Olivieri (left) and Ken Goodkind (right)
Nick Olivieri (left) and Ken Goodkind (right)

Nick Olivieri got his stack of 14,500 all in preflop and was at risk against his neighbor, Ken Goodkind.

Nick Olivieri: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Ken Goodkind: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Olivieri got it in good but Goodkind was drawing to two live cards. Fortunately for Olivieri, the board ran out a lowly {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and his ace-high holdings allowed him to shop the double.

Shefrin Ships a Big Double

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Noah Shefrin
Noah Shefrin

Noah Shefrin opened for 1,300 under the gun and the raise cleared the field all the wai to Baitai Li, who was sitting with a mountain of chips in the small blind.

He opted to call and it was heads-up action to the {2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop.

Li checked, Shefrin continued for 2,600, and Li wasted little time in check-raised to 15,000. Shefrin thought for a bit before jamming for 42,600 and Li asked for a count before making the call.

Noah Shefrin: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Baitai Li: {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Shefrin was ahead with a pair of fours and wheel draw, but Li had a ton of outs with two overs and a double gutshot straight draw.

Neither the {j-Clubs} turn nor {k-Clubs} river changed a thing and Shefrin doubled his stack while Li took a hit.

Leone Hits Six Figures

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Chris Leone
Chris Leone

Ken Goodkind raised to 1,000 from the hijack and Keith Molinaro three-bet to 3,200 from the button. Chris Leone called out of the big blind and Goodkind called the additional 2,200 to see the flop.

Flop: {4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Leone was first to act and he paused for a few beats before tossing out four T5,000 chips for a bet of 20,000.

Goodkind instantly mucked and it didn't take long for Molinaro to follow suit.

With that, Leone crossed the six-figure mark.

Greenawalt Wastes Little Time in Making River Call

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Two players each committed 3,500 preflop and saw a flop of {5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{a-Diamonds}.

The under-the-gun player checked and then called a bet of 2,300 from Travis Greenawalt, who was in the hijack.

Action then went check-check on the {8-Hearts} turn and the {2-Spades} completed the board on the river.

The UTG player bet 3,500 and Greenawalt snap-called. The UTG player showed the {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} for nut no pair, but it was no good as Greenawalt had top pair with his {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}.
