Fishberg Makes "Nitty" Call

GeoffFisk • Level 31: 75,000-150,000, 150,000 ante

Gregory Fishberg opened to 340,000 from the hijack, and Joe Galazzo called in the big blind.

Galazzo check-called a 450,000 bet from Fishberg on the {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop, and both players checked the {a-Spades} turn.

Galazzo bet 800,000 on the {8-Diamonds} river.

"This is a really, really, really nitty call," said Fishberg, who made the call and showed {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} for the rivered set. Galazzo mucked, and Fishberg took down the pot.

Ryan Jackson, in the hijack, and Anthony Tonzelli, on the button, got all of the chips in preflop, with roughly even stacks. Jackson's 1,650,000 stack had Tonzelli's 1,420,000 stack slightly covered.

Anthony Tonzelli: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}
Ryan Jackson: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Board: {7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Jackson hit a club flush on the turn, leaving Tonzelli drawing dead. Tonzelli, who late registered on Day 2 and began the tournament with just 7.5 big blinds, finishes just short of the final table.

Sergey Lukyantsev limped under the gun, Anthony Chin raised to 400,000 on the direct left, and Lukyantsev called.

Sergey Lukyantsev: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Anthony Chin: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
