Both opponents folded, and Bentz added chips to the stack early on in Day 2.

The Next Stage Begins

After four Day 1 flights, the Parx Big Stax 300 begins its climb toward the money and an eventual champion with today's Day 2 action.

Late registration is still available through the end of the current level. The day began with 373 players, and a few late arrivals have joined the field in the opening minutes of Day 2.

Day 2 of the Parx Big Stax 300 Begins at Noon

The opening day flights are done, and the Parx Big Stax 300 moves forward with Day 2, beginning at noon today.

The survivors of Day 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d come back today as a combined field, with play beginning at Level 15 and the blinds at 2000/4000/4000. Players will play through one-hour levels, stopping at the end of Level 25, or when the nine-handed final table has been reached, whichever comes first.

The field will go on breaks after every two levels, with a dinner break scheduled after Level 20. Late registration in this unlimited re-entry event is still available through the beginning of Level 16.

Coming into Day 2, the original field of 2,177 entries is down to 373 players. Leading the way on the chip leaderboard is Mikhail Patish (696,500), the Day 1d chip leader. Follwing Patish on the leaderboard are Sharath Sreeramoju (572,000), Day 1a chip leader Sameer Batra (541,000), Eric Valerio (539,500), and Joseph Galazzo (536,000).

Those players are the biggest stacks coming back to Parx Casino in Bensalem, Pennsylvania today. The tournament is scheduled to play through Day 3 Monday, when the remaining players from Day 2 come back to play down to a champion.

Others in contention include Frank Nera (497,500), and Day 1b chip leader Tam Nguyen (462,000). Victor Ramdin (370,500), a two-time champion in the Parx Big Stax 300, is also still in the hunt and begins the day with more than enough chips to be in position for a deep run.
