Break

Two levels are in the books and the 2010 PCA High Roller Event is on it's first break. Be back in 15 minutes.

Three-way Shovefest

There was a three-way all in party between Michiel Brummelhuhis, Kevin Saul and Paul Berende.

Brummelhuis held {A-Spades} {K-Clubs}, Saul had {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} and berende had {K-Diamonds} {K-Spades}. Saul was the shortest player with roughly 8,000 chips. Brummelhuis had both players covered.

The board ran out {Q-Clubs} {J-Spades} {3-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} to give Saul the worst-to-first finish in the hand. He tripled to 24,000. Brummelhuis dropped to 40,000, while Berende won the side pot to move to 28,000.

Small Bet On River by Kenney

Daniel Negreanu and Bryn Kenney both checked the flop of {J-Spades} {8-Hearts} {4-Hearts}. After the {9-Spades} fell on the turn, Negreanu bet 2,600. Kenney made the call.

The river completed the board with the {6-Clubs} and Negreanu checked. Kenney fired a small bet of 900 and Negreanu folded.

"I would've gotten it all in on the flop," said Negreanu.

Late Arrivals

Tommy Vedes, Alexander Kostritsyn, Lisa Hamilton and Pierre Neauville have entered the field.

Neuville placed second at EPT Vilamoura for over $380,000. Vedes won the WPT's Festa al Lago this year and also scored a 19th-place finish in the WSOP Main Event. Kostritsyn won the Aussie Millions Main Event back in 2008. Lisa Hamilton is the reigning WSOP Ladies' Event champion.

No One Wants to Bet Mikey

On a final board of {J-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {8-Spades} {7-Clubs}, Mike "The Mouth" Matusow was faced with a bet of 10,000 from his opponent. Matusow then took a $5,000 chip out of his pocket and asked the table if they want to bet that his hand is good. Matusow then folded the {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} and nobody took the bet.

Matusow is down to 31,000 chips.

Thorson Dodges One

On the turn, Team PokerStars Pro William Thorson was all in with the stone-cold nuts -- {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs} -- on a board of {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. His opponent was Cornel Andrew Cimpan who held {10-Hearts} {7-Hearts}. Despite holding the nuts, Thorson was far from in the clear as Cimpan had outs to a flush or a higher straight.

The river card produced nothing too eventful when the {A-Diamonds} fell. Cimpan was left with only 7,500 chips while Thorson moved up to double the starting stack of 100,000.

How Small is Too Small?

Scott Seiver is at his table discussing the size of the laptop he uses to play online poker on. He claims it only has a screen size of eight inches. That's about the size of some male's you-know-what and the other players at the table don't seem to believe him.

He has a friend railing him who is backing him up and said it's all true. Seiver and the friend went on to tell about how he bought the laptop in Mexico City and because he did so, the entire Windows software is in Spanish.

"It's all in Spanish and I don't speak any Spanish at all," said Seiver.

According to Seiver, he's able to regularly play eight tables of poker on it. Not included in the purchase of the laptop were magnifying glasses.

Kleijnen the Early Leader; Mercier Crushed

From middle position, Bryn kenney raised to 800. Ton Kleijnen reraised from the button to 2,100. Action then folded over to Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier. He four-bet to 5,725. Kenney folded, but Kleijnen called.

The flop came down {K-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {8-Hearts}. Mercier slowed down with a check. Kleijnen fired 10,000 with two blue T5,000 chips. Mercier met him with a call.

The turn card was the {6-Diamonds} and Mercier checked again. Kleijnen moved all in for 33,475. This sent Mercier into the tank for a couple of minutes. He wound up making the call, tabling {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}. Kleijnen held the best of it though with the {K-Spades} {K-Clubs}. Mercier was drawing dead and the river card completed the board with the {8-Clubs}.

Mercier was left with just 8,000 chips while Kleijnen rocketed to a field-leading 100,000.

Eastgate Back in the Positive

On a board of {J-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {Q-Hearts}, Chad Batista fired a bet and Peter Eastgate raised. Batista came back over the top and Eastgate called. The amounts were unknown.

With the pot at approximately 12,000, the river came the {J-Hearts}. Batista checked and Eastgate bet 4,000. Batista folded his {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} face up and dropped to 42,000. Eastgate improved back over his starting stack to 57,000.
