The first level is in the books and with that, the players are on a 15-minute break.
David "Doc" Sands raised to 3,800 under the gun and received a call from Faraz Jaka in middle position. Sands then continuation bet 4,400 on the flop, which Jaka again called.
When the dealer burned and turned the , Sands bet 10,800. After a Jaka call, the was put out on the river. Sands proceeded to move all in for 70,500 aand Jaka hit the tank for two minutes before releasing his hand.
Jaka is still sitting with right around 230,000.
From middle position, Kyle Brossia raised to 3,600. Action then folded around to Phil Ivey in the small blind and he moved all in for 21,200. Brossia made the call.

Ivey was looking good on the first four cards that came out, , but the on the river ended his day.
Ilan Rouah had an excellent Day 1b and that has carried over into Day 2. We heard him let out a pretty audible "Yeah!" as he eliminated a player. We rushed over and saw the final board of , with Rouah's bested his opponent's holdings.
With that win, Rouah is up to about 325,000.
After a player shoved for 12,600 from under the gun, PokerNews pro blogger Evan Parkes called from the big blind with the after thinking it over for a minute. The under-the-gun player held the .
The board ran out and Parkes was able to hold up and send the player to the rail.

With about 27,000 in the pot and a board reading , the small blind checked to Justin "Boosted J" Smith, who promptly bet 14,500. The small blind weighed his options for a minute and then put in a raise to 47,000. Smith only had 39,200 behind so it was a big decision, one which he thought about for a solid two minutes. In the end he decided to fold and will certainly be fighting an uphill battle from here on out.
Jean-Robert Bellande, Eric Buchman and William Reynolds were all in action on the board of when we walked up to the table. Bellande was up first and checked. Buchman fired 6,600 and Reynolds ducked out of the way. Bellande made the call.
The river completed the board with the and Bellande checked. Buchman slid out 14,000 and after a minute in the tank, Bellande mucked his hand.
Bellande slipped back to 64,000, but is still up on the day, while Buchman moved to 223,000 and is one of the largest stacks in the tournament.
Back in 2008, Eddy Sabat won the APPT Macau Main Event for over $450,000. He made his second APPT Main Event final table last month in Sydney, coming in sixth place in the Grand Final for nearly $80,000. So far today, Sabat's chipped up to about double what he started with.
Sabat raised to 3,600 from middle position and the cutoff seat made the call to see the flop come down . Sabat fired 2,400 and got called.

Sabat tabled and his opponent mucked, allowing him to move his stack to 58,000 chips.
On an board, Mike Leah bet 5,300 into an opponent. After a few moments Leah's opponent called, leading to the river card. Leah fired 12,300, but was met with an all-in shove by his opponent for another 27,700.
Leah called, but his opponent tabled for a full house. Leah flashed for broadway, losing much of his stack in the process. He was eliminated shortly therafter.
