Gromov and Chartie Fold to Third Barrel

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Over on Table 2, Mike "Timex" McDonald, Shawn Buchanan, and Dmitry Gromov saw a flop of {k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{a-Clubs}. The action checked to Buchanan on the button, and he fired 1,100. Only Gromov called. The turn was the {10-Clubs}, and Gromov checked again. Buchanan bet 2,500, and Gromov called.

The {7-Clubs} completed the board, and Gromov checked a third time. Buchanan tossed out 6,800, but this time Gromov folded.

At an adjacent table, Sam Chartier was heads up with Bryn Kenney, and the board read {9-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Chartier called a 1,400-chip bet from Kenney, and the turn brought the {2-Hearts}. Chartier check-called another 3,600, and checked a third time when the {6-Clubs} completed the board. Kenney fired 5,400, and Chartier released.

One for the Champ

On the {K-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, two Team PokerStars Pros were in action as Jonathan Duhamel was up first against Eugene Katchalov. Duhamel checked and Katchalov bet 1,200. Duhamel made the call.

The turn was checked by both players after the {5-Spades} fell and then the {4-Spades} completed the board on the river. Duhamel bet 2,650 and Katchalov mucked his hand. Ship this one to the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champion.

Selbst Busts Moorman in Flip

From the under-the-gun-plus-one position, Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst opened to 750. Fellow Team Pro Pierre Neuville called from the next seat and Chris Moorman called from the cutoff seat. On the button was Joseph Elpayaa and he three-bet to 3,150. Action folded back to Selbst and she four-bet to 7,400.

After Neuville folded, Moorman went into the tank. After a minute or so, he confirmed the raise amount and then thought for a little bit longer. Then, he five-bet to 13,000. Elpayaa began to tank long and hard before folding his hand. Selbst was back up and she moved all in rather quickly. Moorman took about 20 seconds and then called all in for around 44,000 total.

Right away, Selbst didn't look happy, but she was in better shape that she might have thought. Moorman tabled the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Selbst the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for a flip. "That's what I thought you had," she mentioned.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Selbst took the lead by hitting top pair. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and river {J-Hearts} to keep her in front and send Moorman to the rail.

"See you in a little bit," Moorman said to some tablemates hinting that he might be re-entering this event. On the other hand, Selbst is up to 100,000.

"You Can Re-Enter, Right?"

Taylor Paur, Ricardo Tavares, and Michael Mizrachi saw a flop of {2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Mizrachi checked, Paur tossed out 600, and Tavares raised to 2,200. Mizrachi called, Paur re-raised to 4,600, Tavares folded, and Mizrachi re-raised to 10,000. Paur went deep into the tank.

"You can re-enter, right?" Mizrachi asked no one.

Paur stared at him, confirmed the amount of the bet with the dealer, then called. Both players knuckled after the {j-Hearts} turned, and the river was the {a-Diamonds}. Mizrachi led for 10,100, Paur called, and Mizrachi tabled two eights. Paur showed {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a better pair however, and raked in the pot.

Rheem Calls All In, Doubles

When we reached the table, the board read {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}. There was around 13,000 in the middle, and Nick Yunis had fired 10,000 - enough to put Chino Rheem all in. Rheem was in the tank, shuffling his whole stack, and eventually plopped it down in front of him, turning over {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. Yunis mucked, and Rheem doubled to around 27,000 chips.

Aces for Stein

Sam Stein and Chris Klodnicki both checked the turn on the {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} board before seeing the {10-Spades} land on the river. Stein decided on a bet amount of 5,200 and that sent Klodnicki in to the tank. Eventually, Klodnicki made the call and Stein turned over the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Klodnicki mucked.
