Heinz Felted

Pius Heinz

Andrew Lichtenberger and Pius Heinz put in 4,200 each before the flop. The first three community cards came down {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} with Lichtenberger having to act first. He bet 4,200. Heinz took a few moments and then made the call.

Fourth street was the {Q-Diamonds} and completed a possible flush draw. Lichtenberger fired a bet worth 7,200. After a minute, the reigning World Series of Poker Main Event champion and Team PokerStars Pro called.

The river card was the {8-Clubs}. Lichtenberger opted to check, which prompted Heinz to move all in for around 20,000. Lichtenberger quickly called and Heinz didn't like that one bit. He almost instantly mucked his hand while Lichtenberger tabled the {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds} for a king-high straight.

Heinz was left with nothing but the felt in front of him and eliminated from the tournament. We'll see if he re-enters or not. Lichtenberger is up to nearly three times the starting stack.

MacPhee Takes One Off Chartier

From early position, reigning World Series of Poker Europe Main Event champion Elio Fox raised to 800. In the hijack seat, Kevin MacPhee reraised to 2,175. Sam Chartier four-bet from the small blind and made it 5,575 to go. Action folded back around to MacPhee. He flatted and took a flop of {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{6-Spades} in position.

On the flop, Chartier checked and MacPhee fired 3,700. Chartier called to see the {J-Spades} land on the turn. Chartier checked again with a little over 25,000 behind. MacPhee bet 7,125 and Chartier gave it up.
