Charania Out

Just before the start of Level 8, Mohsin Charania three-bet shoved all in for 8,800. His opponent, the original raiser, called, and we were off to the races.

Showdown
Opponent: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Charania: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran {3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, and Charania was eliminated from the 2012 PCA Main event.

Morgan Picked Off by Ace-High

Jordan Morgan and an opponent both checked with the board reading {6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}. The {6-Diamonds} completed the board, and Morgan led out for 6,900. His opponent tank-called, and Morgan turned over {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a busted straight draw. His opponent opened up {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for ace-high, and it was good.

Morgan slipped, but is still very healthy with over 50,000 chips.

Jaka Avoids Trap

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player opened to 1,125 in early position, Faraz Jaka called on the button, and the flop fell {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. The player continued for 1,200, and Jaka quickly called.

Both players checked on the turn ({2-Spades}), and the river ({6-Spades}). Jaka's opponent unhappily turned over {9-Spades}{4-Spades} after Jaka checked behind on the river - apparently he was setting a trap. Jaka avoided the trap however, and commands a very strong, 82,000-chip stack.
