Straight Flush Doubles Selbst

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

We just got some second-hand information about a big hand that just went down on the feature table. We don't have access to the feature table, but we can tell you what we've been told.

Vanessa Selbst just doubled through Chris McClung with a straight flush. When the money went in, McClung held a full house and we can only imagine how much of a cooler it was. McClung isn't out, but he is pretty short.

Also on the feature are former tennis superstar Boris Becker, former UFC fighter Heath Herring and another Team PokerStars Pro Gualter Salles.

Sabat Bests Mercier

Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

We all know Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier has won a lot of tournament titles in his short poker career, but Eddy Sabat has one he doesn't — an APPT title. On this hand, Sabat and Mercier did battle with Sabat coming out on top.

Sabat fired a bet of 725 on the {K-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop. A second player folded in between Sabat and Mercier before the South Florida boy wonder made the call.

The turn was the {A-Hearts} and both players checked to see the {8-Diamonds} land on the river. Sabat fired a bet of 1,825 and the "always wearing at least one piece of Miami sports apparel" Mercier mucked his hand.

Collins Sends Armstrong To The Rail

Picking up the action on a {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop, Jamie "pokerjamers" Armstrong was faced with a Phil Collins check-raise to 1,650. Armstrong took a few moments before he shoved for about 12,000. Collins called quickly with {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and was ahead of Armstrong's {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

No ace or winning club would come as the {4-Hearts} turn and {K-Spades} sent Armstrong to the rail near the end of Level 2.

Pagano Cruising

Luca Pagano
Luca Pagano

From under the gun, David "Doc" Sands raised to 375. The player in the cutoff seat called and action moved to Luca Pagano in the small blind. He three-bet to 1,300. The big blind and Sands got out of the way, but the cutoff seat called.

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Pagano fired 1,350. His opponent folded and Pagano won the pot. He's now up to 85,000 in chips.

Busquet Takes a Hit

Olivier Busquet is considered one of the best heads up players in the world, but there's not much you can do when you're opponent gets there.

Busquet was indeed heads up with an opponent with the board reading {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}. He led for 1,000, and his opponent called. The turn was the {10-Clubs}, and Busquet quickly tossed out another 3,000. His opponent called.

The river was the {j-Diamonds}, and Busquet fired a third bullet. This bet was 8,000 chips, and his opponent went into the tank. Eventually he called, and Busquet tabled {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for trip fours. His opponent showed {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for a Broadway though, and won the pot.
