Negreanu Takes Nice Pot Against Duhamel

Daniel Negreanu opened to 27,000 in the cutoff and Jonathan Duhamel three-bet to 68,000 from the small blind. Negreanu called and a {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop hit the board.

Duhamel bet 63,000, Negreanu called, and the {6-Spades} hit the turn. Another Negreanu check led to another Duhamel bet, this one for 167,000. Negreanu carefully counted out his stack before calling, landing the {3-Clubs} on the river. Both checked quickly and Negreanu took it down with pocket sevens.

Stein's Turn Bet Wins

From the cutoff seat, Viktor Blom raised to 26,000. Sam Stein three-bet from the button to 64,000 and Blom called after the blinds folded.

The {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop was checked by both players before the {6-Spades} landed on fourth street. Blom checked and Stein bet 43,000. Blom folded and Stein won the pot.

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Viktor Blom raised from under the gun to 26,000. Dan Shak called from the big blind and the {A-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop was dealt. Both checked through to see the {7-Hearts} land on the turn. Shak checked, Blom bet 34,000 and Shak called.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and both players checked. Shak tabled the {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Blom mucked.

McDonald Pushes Seiver Off

Mike McDonald raised to 26,000 under the gun and Scott Seiver three-bet to 66,000 from the middle seat. Action folded back to McDonald and after about a minute of intently staring down Seiver, McDonald re-raised to 131,000. Seiver quickly gave it up.

Blom Busts Sands

David Sands - out
David Sands - out

After David "Doc" Sands raised to 27,000, Viktor Blom three-bet to 69,000. Sands reraised all in and Blom snap-called.

Blom: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Sands: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and Blom made a diamond flush to win the hand. Sands was left with nothing but the felt in front of him and headed to the rail after telling the rest of the table, "Good game, guys."

Blom Taking One from Sands

From under the gun, Team PokerStars Pro Viktor Blom raised to 26,000. Action folded to David "Doc" Sands in the small blind and he three-bet to 67,000. Blom made the call.

Both players would check the {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop before the {7-Hearts} paired the board on the turn. Sands bet 77,000 and Blom called.

The {9-Spades} put two pair on board on the river and Sands checked. Blom bet 179,000 and Sands folded.

Seiver Binks His Double

Scott Seiver
Scott Seiver

On a {7-Spades} {5-Spades} {K-Spades} flop, Scott Seiver check-raised all in for his last 210,000. Humberto Brenes was stuck in the middle of the three-way action, and he tanked for a long while before folding. Mike McDonald made the call, though, and Seiver was at risk as the cards were turned up.

"Ace-jack with the ace of spades?" Seiver read his opponent's hand. It was {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds}, and that meant that Seiver's {K-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} had him as a favorite to double up. The turn {J-Hearts} gave McDonald a few more outs, but the river {3-Hearts} was a blank and a safe card for the at-risk Seiver.

McDonald has been parted with about a third of his stack, while Seiver doubles his way back into contention with just over a half-million chips.

On the heels of that double, Seiver proceeded to win the next three pots with uncontested preflop raises to chip his way up even further.

Queens GIve Stein a Double

Action folded to Sam Stein on the button and he raised to 25,000. In the big blind, Isaac Haxton reraised all in and Stein snap-called. Stein held the {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and was up against the {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for Haxton.

The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and kept the queens in front of Stein. The turn {3-Spades} changed nothing and either did the {J-Clubs} on the river. Stein's queens held up, allowing some double-up love from the ladies.
