Alex Gomes - Eliminated

Alex Gomes was all in and at risk preflop with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}, and was dominated by Nick Schulman's {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Spades}, and Gomes was eliminated.

Negreanu Dwindles Then Busts

Daniel Negreanu busts
Daniel Negreanu busts

Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu has been nursing a short stack for the past level and has slowly dwindled down to just two big blinds. He recently committed his last 8,000 from the big blind after Andras Nemeth opened for the same amount from the hijack.

Negreanu: {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Nemeth: {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

"That's not good," Negreanu said upon seeing the cards. "That's not a good flop," he added when the flop came down {K-Spades}{4-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. Indeed, Nemeth paired his king to take a massive lead. "Not even a sweat," Negreanu laughed when the dealer burned and turned the {3-Diamonds} to leave him drawing dead.

After the {7-Clubs} was put out on the river for good measure, "Kid Poker" took his leave from the tournament floor with the TV cameras locked on to his every more.

One for Koon

From middle position, Jason Koon raised to 9,000. Christian Harder called out of the cutoff seat, and Sam Stein called from the small blind.

On the {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop, Stein checked, and Koon bet 14,000. Harder and Stein both folded, and Koon took the pot.

Updated Chip Counts

Lamb Chopped by Raskin

Ben Lamb - Eliminated
Ben Lamb - Eliminated

Ben Lamb opened to 8,000 from the cutoff seat, and Micah Raskin three-bet jammed for effectively 80,000 from the big blind. Lamb tank-called.

Lamb: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Raskin: {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Lamb was ahead, but there was a nine in the window of the {4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop. Raskin's pair held as the turn and river came {7-Diamonds}, {4-Clubs} respectively, and Lamb was eliminated.

Raskin Has ALL the Chips

Micah Raskin
Micah Raskin

Micah Raskin just flopped the nut flush holding the {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} on a board of {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} against an opponent who flopped a weaker flush with the {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. Raskin's opponent fired on all streets before moving all in on the river. Raskin made the call, saw that his opponent didn't have a full house and shipped in the pot. He's now up to about 1.36 million in chips and crushing.

Four-Way Flop

Alex Gomes raised to 9,000 from early position, and Tobias Reinkemeier called from the cutoff seat. Bryn Kenney called on the button, then Nick Schulman called from the big blind.

All four players saw the flop come down {10-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Schulman checked, and Gomes bet 15,500. Reinkemeier, Kenney and Schulman all folded, and Gomes won the pot.

You Mad, Marvin?

Marvin Rettenmeier
Marvin Rettenmeier

There's no doubt that Marvin Rettenmaier had a heck of a year in 2012; in fact, just last month he won the EPT Prague €10,000 No Limit Hold'em-High Roller event in the Czech Republic for $477,479. Unfortunately for him, that was 2012 and this is 2013.

Rettenmaier's demise came when Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst opened for 8,000 from early position and he moved all in for roughly 80,000 from the big blind with {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Selbst made the call with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and had Rettenmaier in dire straits.

The {9-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop delivered Selbst a set, but the {Q-Diamonds} turn made things interesting as Rettenmaier picked up an open-ended straight draw. The dealer burned one last time and put out what would be Rettenmaier's last card in the 2013 PCA $25,000 High Roller... the {J-Clubs}.
