Rough Start For O'Brien

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

"I'm feeling good, but it's not been a good day so far," Dan O'Brien just said as he dropped quite a few chips in the first level of the day.

A few minutes later we noticed O'Brien involved in a three-way pot when the board showed {5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}. The player in the small blind checked after which Jaime Eli Kaplan bet 3,000 from the big blind.

O'Brien tanked for a bit and called from the cutoff and the small blind quickly folded.

On the turn the {2-Clubs} hit and Kaplan bet another 6,200, O'Brien called once more.

The river completed the board with the {9-Diamonds} and Kaplan threw out another 13,700. O'Brien let go of his hand again and dropped down to below the starting stack.
