Chip Count Update

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Gimbel's Ladies Hold

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

We arrived at the table in time to find a player all in and at risk for what looked to be around 25,000 against 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure winner Harrison Gimbel. The cards were tabled to find that Gimbel was well ahead.

Gimbel: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Gimbel's pocket queens held up as the best hand. He dragged in the pot and now has right around 72,000 in chips.

Smith Ships

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

After a middle position open to 1,000 and a call, the player in the hijack three-bet to 3,500. Dan Smith was in the cutoff and four-bet the action to 7,700. Action folded back to the hijack who called to see a flop.

The dealer fanned {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs} on the felt and action was checked to Smith. He announced an all in bet and his opponent quickly let his hand go. Smith dragged in the pot and now is above starting stack with about 32,000.

Two Pair for Moneymaker

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

A player opened to 600 in early position, Chris Moneymaker three-bet to 1,300 two spots to his left, and the action folded back to the original raiser. He made the call, and the flop fell {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{j-Spades}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {3-Spades}, the two knuckled again, and the {6-Diamonds} completed the board. The player tossed out 3,000, Moneymaker called, and the player showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a pair of eights. Moneymaker tabled {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, and took down the pot.

Moolhuizen Does it Without Showdown

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Dutch pro Mateusz Moolhuizen, winner of Unibet Open Malta in 2011, just raked in a big pot without showdown bumping his stack up to 90,000.

The player under the gun raised to 700 and a player in middle position called. Moolhuizen was seated in the cutoff and he three-bet to 2,400. The initial raiser made the call and now the player who had initial called 700 kicked it up to 5,800.

Moolhuizen came right back over the top making it 13,000 and the initial raiser folded. The other player called and the flop ran out {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. Moolhuizen fired 16,000 into the pot and his opponent called. On the turn the {4-Hearts} hit and it was checked to Moolhuizen again who moved all in this time around for 28,000.

Moolhuizen's opponent tanked for a long time before ultimately tossing his {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} face up into the muck.
