Bojang Busts Van Alphen

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Niels van Alphen was just knocked out and he explained to us what happened. German pro Ismael Bojang raised preflop and Van Alphen moved all in from the cutoff for 76,000 total.

Bojang called holding {K-}{Q-} and Van Alphen's {8-}{6-} suited needed some help. The board brought no such thing for the Dutchman and he was knocked out.

Stammen's Kings Cracked; Ainsworth Makes Quad Jacks

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Keven Stammen
Keven Stammen

From under the gun, Keven Stammen raised all in for 74,500. In the next seat, Jude Ainsworth reraised all in for a little over 200,000. Everyone else folded, and it was Stammen's {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} up against Ainsworth's {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

The flop vaulted Ainsworth into the lead with the {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} giving him top set of jacks. The turn was the {5-Clubs}, and then the river finished things off with the {J-Clubs}. Ainsworth made quads to crack Stammen's kings, and Stammen was eliminated. Ainsworth moved to over 300,000 in chips.

Dylan Hortin checked to Maria Ho on a flop of {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and Ho tossed out 8,500. Hortin called.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds}, Hortin check-called another 18,500, and the {2-Hearts} completed the board. Both players checked.

Hortin showed {a-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a pair of fours, and Ho slid her cards into the muck.

Cervenka Ships on Kitai

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Nicole Cervenka
Nicole Cervenka

Davidi Kitai opened with a raise to 8,500 from under the gun and action folded all of the way around the table to Nicole Cervenka in the big blind. She tossed out a call and the two took a flop.

The dealer fanned {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} on the felt and Cervenka checked. Kitai put out a continuation bet of 9,500 and Cervenka called. The {4-Clubs} came down on the turn and Cervenka checked for a second time. Kitai kept up the pressure by betting 14,000. Cervenka, however, quickly announced an all in raise which sent Kitai's cards sailing into the muck.

Cervenka picked up the pot and now sits on about 155,000. Kitai is down to around 205,000.

Berkey Puts the Pressure On Kuzmin Again

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Matt Berkey was back at it applying pressure to Alexander Kuzmin. This time, Berkey fired a bet of 50,000 on the {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} board, and Kuzmin called to see the {K-Clubs} land on the river. Berkey moved all in, which was an effective shove for 170,000 or so as that's what Kuzmin had left. After a bit of tanking, Kuzmin folded, and Berkey moved to nearly 600,000 in chips.
