Glantz With a Five-Bet

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Matt Glantz
Matt Glantz

The ever active Ole Schemion opened to 11,000 on the button, and Matt Glantz three-bet to 27,500 from the small blind. Fellow East Coaster Chris Klodnicki surrendered his big blind, Schemion four-bet to 46,000, but Glantz didn't back down.

Instead he reached for chips, and tossed out a five-bet of 132,500. Schemion quickly folded.

Negreanu Busts... Again

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu has just busted... again. After busting just about 10 minutes prior, Negreanu lost out for a second time.

On the final board of {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{A-Clubs}, Daniel Colman moved all in against Negreanu. After tanking for a bit of time, Negreanu looked to the tournament clock, saw that there was about 40 minutes left in the day, and said, "This might be one of those special rebuy moments."

After another minute or two, Negreanu stuck his chips in to make the call. Colman tabled the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, and Negreanu couldn't beat it. Colman was all in for 121,500, and Negreanu had exactly 121,500 left in his stack. Negreanu mucked his hand and was off to the ail, although he did say he would likely be back for tomorrow's Day 2.

Seiver and Koon Clash

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Over 250,000 was already in the middle by the time Jason Koon and Scott Seiver reached the turn. Seiver checked with the board reading {6-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, and Koon tossed forward five green T25,000 chips, betting 125,000.

Seiver considered the bet for a few minutes, then tossed in a handful of his own green chips.

The {4-Spades} completed the board, Seiver checked once again, and Koon reached for a tower of blue T5,000 chips. He added a single green chip on top, and slid forward 125,000.

This time, Seiver tanked for ages. Well over 10 minutes. The American shifted in his chair over a dozen times, talking to himself and his neighbor, Koon. He eventually apologized, and then a few minutes later he tossed his cards into the muck.

No More Negreanu -- For Now

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Daniel Negreanu busts

Daniel Negreanu moved all in for around 100,000 on a flop of {5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} holding {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, and Philipp Gruissem immediately called with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

"Good game," Negreanu joked, alluding to the fact that he's had Gruissem's number in all-in pots.

Kid Poker didn't improve enough on the turn ({k-Hearts}) or the river ({7-Spades}), however, and was eliminated.

"Finally!" Gruissem blurted.

Negreanu hinted that he would reenter, and we will patiently wait for the return of the Team PokerStars Pro.
