Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu reraised all in after Dan Shak had opened. Shak was holding the {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} and made the quick and easy call of Negreanu's shove. Negreanu had the {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. The flop, turn, and river ran out {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and Negreanu was eliminated for the third and final time in this event.

Cheong with the Set

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Joseph Cheong opened to 14,000 and action trickled around to Sorel Mizzi on the button. He cut out a three-bet to 38,000 and Cheong was his only caller.

The flop came {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and both players checked to see the {3-Spades} hit the turn. Cheong dropped out a bet of 42,000 and Mizzi called. The {4-Hearts} finished off the board and Cheong cut out a final bet of 117,000. Mizzi shifted in his chair a bit as he pondered his action. Eventually, he moved forward a call but then mucked his cards after he saw Cheong's {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for a set of treys. Cheong dragged in the pot and now has about 580,000 in chips.

O'Dwyer Beats Troyanovskiy

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer opened with a raise to 16,000 from the hijack seat, and Vladimir Troyanovskiy reraised to 42,000 from the button. Play folded back to O'Dwyer, and he made the call after seeing how many chips Troyanovskiy had behind, which was 116,000.

The flop came down {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, and O'Dwyer checked. Troyanovskiy also checked, and the {5-Clubs} paired the board on the turn. Both players checked again.

The {K-Hearts} landed on the river, and once again both O'Dwyer and Troyanovskiy checked. O'Dwyer tabled the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for two pair, kings and fives, and Troyanovskiy mucked his hand with a shake of his head.

Gregg Turns Troyanovskiy

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

From the cutoff seat, Vladimir Troyanovskiy raised to 14,000. Lawrence Greenberg called on the button, and then Tony Gregg called from the big blind. The flop came down {J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, and Gregg checked. Troyanovskiy bet 26,000, Greenberg folded, and Gregg called.

The turn was the {9-Hearts}, and both remaining players checked to see the {2-Diamonds} land on the river. Both players checked again.

Gregg showed the {9-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a turned pair of nines, and Troyanovskiy mucked his hand.

Martin Finger

Welcome back to our coverage of the $100,000 Super High Roller at the 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. Yesterday saw a grand total of 52 entries from 45 unique players and at the end of the day Martin Finger sat on the biggest stack with 829,000.

Rounding out the top three stacks are 2013 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final €100,000 Super High Roller champion Max Altergott with 707,000 and Team Online member Isaac Haxton with 594,500.

While there were 52 entries yesterday, players still have the option to enter or re-enter at the start of the day today. The prize pool information will be available after registration closes at the end of the day.

Day 1 saw a few eliminated players who chose not to re-enter on the first day of play. These players include World Series of Poker Main Event champion Ryan Riess, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, John Juanda, Steven Silverman, and Mike Watson. Daniel Negreanu busted twice during the first day but made a note that he would likely return for a third try on the second day. Guy Laliberté also busted twice on Day 1 but opted to re-enter at the end of the day.

The returning field is, of course, stacked with notable players including reigning champion Scott Seiver, Ole Schemion, Max Altergott, Vanessa Selbst, Bryn Kenney, Isaac Haxton, Jonathan Duhamel, Tony Gregg, Steve O'Dwyer, Justin Bonomo, and Philipp Gruissem.
