Millar Calls Pronin Down; Stammen Busted

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Keven Stammen went bust.
Keven Stammen went bust.

Sergey Pronin fired 3,000 on a {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop and was called by Alex "kanu7" Millar on the button. Millar called another barrel of the same size on the {7-Spades} turn, and a {k-Clubs} hit the river. Pronin bet 5,000 this time and was again called.

Pronin showed {k-Spades}{8-Spades}, but his kings up were beaten by Millar's {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}.

At another table, a short-stacked Keven Stammen lost the last of his chips, it appeared to Scott Seiver.

"Can we reenter?" he joked as he walked away from the table.

One and Done

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

We found Juan Etcheverry, on the button, putting a player in the cutoff at risk for about 15,000 on the turn with the board reading {9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

Etcheverry: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-}{7-}

Etcheverry rapped the table in triumph as the dealer placed the {q-Spades} on the river.

"I think he just played one hand," Vanessa Selbst commented after the player made his exit. "I don't even think he folded a hand, I think he just came in and played one hand."

Kruk Bluffs it Off to Selbst

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Vanessa Selbst let her opponent blast off his stack.
Vanessa Selbst let her opponent blast off his stack.

In a hand that stretched into the break, Vanessa Selbst had made it 1,500 to go preflop from middle position, and she saw Christopher Kruk reraise to 3,800 in the blinds. Selbst made the call, and she called Kruk's continuation-bet of 2,600 on the {q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop. Kruk fired again on the {3-Spades} turn for 4,100 and was again called. He wasted no time shoving his last 7,550 in on the {2-Clubs} river, and Selbst immediately called.

Kruk showed down {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for ace-high, no good against the {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} of the American star.

Kontonatsios Picks One Off

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Ioannis Kontonatsios bet 4,500 from the small blind on a {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop and was called by an opponent on the button. Both players checked the {j-Spades}, and Kontonatsios bet 5,500 on the {q-Diamonds} river. His opponent took little time before pushing all in for about 14,000, causing Kontonatsios to clench his fist and stick out his tongue before leaning back in his seat to contemplate. After a couple of minutes of deliberation, he tossed out a chip to call.

The player on the button turned over {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a pair and a missed gutter, and it was no good against Kontonatsios' {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}.
