Day 1b of 2015 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure to Start Soon!

Welcome to PokerNews coverage of Day 1b of the 2015 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event!

Yesterday's Day 1a session saw 220 entrants take a break from the beautiful beaches of the Bahamas and by the time play ended after eight levels, 139 remained. Leading the way was online phenom Alex "Kanu7" Millar with 169,100 in chips. He was followed closely by Dani Stern who bagged 145,200 in chips. Others bagging up above average stacks were Jason Helder (124,800), Owen Crowe (121,000), Andrew Whitaker (108,700), and Naoya Kihara (108,1000).

Notables that would make it through included Ankush Mandavia, Ole Schemion, Chris Moneymaker, Vanessa Selbst, Marco Johnson, Daniel Colman, George Danzer, Isaac Haxton, and the defending champion in this event, Dominik Panka.

The tournament is already approaching 400 players registered for Day 1b with players like George Lind, Randy Lew, Barry Greenstein, Darren Elias, Mohsin Charania, Jonathan Little, and Brandon Steven. We expect others like Daniel Negreanu to join in later on during the day as well as the newly minted Super High Roller Champion, Steve O'Dwyer.

Each player will start with 30,000 in chips and the tournament will play eight levels today. Play will get underway at the top of the hour and we'll be here throughout the day for live updates on all of the exciting action here at the 2015 PCA Main Event.
