Bonomo Eliminated By Kenney Just Before Dinner Break

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Justin Bonomo - Eliminated
Justin Bonomo - Eliminated

Picking up the action after a flop of {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, Bryn Kenney checked from the small blind and Justin Bonomo bet 85,000 from the big blind. Christoph Vogelsang called in the hijack, as did Kenney, landing the {3-Diamonds} turn.

Kenney checked to Bonomo who bet 150,000. Vogelsang folded, Kenney check-raised all in for about 500,000 effective and Bonomo called all in with {Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a queen-high flush. However, Kenney had him drawing dead with {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for king-high flush.

The meaningless {A-Clubs} river locked up the pot and the dinner-break chip lead for Kenney.

Mizzi Scores Massive Doubles Through Koon

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Sorel Mizzi
Sorel Mizzi

Sorel Mizzi (cutoff) was in the tank with 60,000 committed. He was facing a three-bet from Jason Koon in the small blind to about 250,000. After a few moments, Mizzi called to see a {Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop.

After asking how much Mizzi had behind (958,000), Koon continued for 255,000. Mizzi tanked for a bit before he raised all in. Koon called.

Mizzi: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Koon: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

MIzzi was ahead with a set of queens and held up through the {6-Spades} turn and {3-Hearts} river to score the sizable double up.

Shakerchi Falls to Holz

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Talal Shakerchi
Talal Shakerchi

Fedor Holz raised to 50,000 from early position and it folded around to Talal Shakerchi on the button. He three-bet all in for what looked to be 231,000 and the blinds got out of the way. Holz called and the hands were turned up.

Holz: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Shakerchi: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

A {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} run out spelled disaster for Shakerchi, as he was unable to improve to best Holz's ace-queen high. Shakerchi made his way to the rail while Holz boosted his stack to about 1.25 million.

Koon Eliminated by Mizzi

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Jason Koon - Eliminated
Jason Koon - Eliminated

Sorel Mizzi opened the action with a raise to 60,000 from under the gun. Jason Koon moved all in for 181,000 from two seats over and action folded all of the way back to the original opener. Mizzi instantly called and rolled over {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Koon tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and was in dire need of improvement to stay alive.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Mizzi's rockets remained in the lead. The {Q-Hearts} paired the board on fourth street, but it was the ever-elusive third ten that Koon was looking for to stay alive. Unfortunately for Koon, the {4-Diamonds} completed the board and he was eliminated from play. Mizzi increased his chip lead to about 2.8 million.

Carlos Chadha - Eliminated

Carlos Chadha raised to 60,000 from under the gun and Sorel Mizzi called from the big blind.

The flop fell {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Mizzi checked to Chada who bet 30,000. Mizzi check-raised to effectively 180,000 and after a little while Chadha called all in.

Chadha: {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Mizzi: {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Chadha's king high was in the lead and he maintained it through the {2-Spades} turn, but the {J-Diamonds} river gave Mizzi a flush to score the elimination.

David Peters Bubbles Super High Roller

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
David Peters Bubbles
David Peters Bubbles

Action folded to David Peters in the small blind and he made it 110,000 to go. Sorel Mizzi was in the big blind and he thought for a moment before announcing an all in raise. Peters called for his tournament life of what looked to be around 890,000 and the hands were turned over.

Peters: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Mizzi: {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

The two players watched in anticipation as the dealer burned and rolled over a flop of {2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Mizzi spiked a queen on the flop to take the lead and suddenly it was Peters who was in need of improvement.

Fourth street brought a second queen to the board with the {Q-Clubs} and the board completed with the {K-Clubs} on the river. Peters was eliminated on the bubble. Mizzi extended his chip lead to about 5.375 million.

Each remaining player is now guaranteed a payday of at least $185,660.

Christoph Vogelsang opened to 110,000 in early position, Roger Sippl called in the hijack and Jake Schindler three-bet to 400,000 in the cutoff. Only Sippl called to see the {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop.

Sippl checked to Schindler who committed his remaining 250,000. Sippl called.

Schindler: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Sippl: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The {9-Spades} turn kept Schindler ahead, but the {J-Spades} river fell to give Sippl two pair to win the pot.
