Benjamin Pollak Eliminated in 6th Place ($34,140)

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Benjamin Pollak
Benjamin Pollak

Matthias Eibinger limped in from under the gun and action folded around to the blinds. Sam Greenwood called, and Benjamin Pollak was forced in from the big blind, creating a small side pot between Eibinger and Greenwood.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and both players checked to see the {5-Diamonds} on the turn. There, Greenwood checked again. Eibinger made a motion to bet, but Greenwood quickly folded. With action heads up now, Eibinger and Pollak revealed their hands.

Eibinger: {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Pollak: {6-Spades}{2-Clubs}

The river was the {6-Clubs} which paired Pollak, but it wasn't enough as Eibinger's pair was better. Pollak exited the tournament in 6th place, collecting $34,140 for his run in this event.

Pollak Cut Down by Imsorovic

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Under the gun, Benjamin Pollak moved all in for a bit over 800,000. Action folded around where Almedin Imsirovic called the shove with a shorter stack in late position. Everyone else folded so it was off to a showdown.

Imsirovic: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Pollak: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

"Ugh," Imsirovic said. "You're not supposed to have two overs."

But the board comes out safe for him when it drops {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and that makes Imsirovic a full house and allows him to double up for 750,000, leaving Pollak with just 65,000 chips.

Stefan Schillhabel Eliminated in 7th Place ($27,210)

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit opened the cutoff and even could take chips back as soon as big blind Stefan Schillhabel had decided he wanted to play it all. Schillhabel had just 70,000 or so left and went with it.

Mustapha Kanit: {A-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Stefan Schillhabel: {6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The flop of {7-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Hearts} paired Schillhabel. The {5-Hearts} on the turn was a blank but the {A-Hearts} on the river definitely wasn't.

"Koray needs you more on his rail than we need you here," Kanit said with a big smile.

Schillhabel cracked a smile and gathered his things before moving to the final table of the Main Event to rail his friend Koray Aldemir. The remaining 6 players are now guaranteed $34,140.

Riess Doubles Through Kanit

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Action folded around to the small blind where Mustapha Kanit moved all in with a covering stack over Ryan Riess in the big blind. Riess called quickly.

Riess: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Kanit: {J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

The flop came down {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} and that was good for Kanit who made a pair.

"I like it," Kanit said.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} which made Riess a straight though.

"I don't like it," Kanit said.

The river was the {K-Spades} but it didn't change anything. Riess had the best hand and doubled up to over 1 million chips.

Action folded around to the button where a short stacked Ramin Hajiyev moved all in for 155,000. Sam Greenwood looked him up and their cards were turned up.

Hajiyev: {K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Greenwood: {A-Spades}{3-Clubs}

Pollak Doubles Through Hajiyev

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

From middle position, Benjamin Pollak shoved all in for 390,000. Action folded around to the blind where Ramin Hajiyev called with a covering stack.

Hajiyev: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Pollak: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The flop decimates Hajiyev when it comes {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{K-Spades} and he doesn't catch up on the {7-Clubs} turn or the {K-Diamonds} river. That earns the double up for Pollak who doubles to right around 800,000 while Hajiyev is left as the short stack with right around 150,000.
