Nathan Manuel

Platinum Pass winner Nathan Manuel was all in for 14,300 when we arrived at his table, from the small blind against an open from Sergio Aido in the cutoff. Aido thought awhile and found a call, and he was pleased to see he was live with {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} against {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}.

The board ran out {4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}, and Manuel doubled up.

Another Set For Calamusa

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Pierre Calamusa got some value off Stanley Lee before the table broke and moved back to where he had been some time ago. The {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Spades} turn brought a bet of 13,500 by Calamusa in the small blind and Lee called in the hijack. On the {8-Spades} river, Calamusa made it 25,100 to go and Lee went into the think tank for more than two minutes before making the call.

Calamusa showed {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a set and claimed the pot. Further assorted counts can be found below.

Four-Flush Doesn't Scare Perkins

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Bill Perkins looked down at his cards in early position and made it 1,800 to go. The big blind defended and the flop fell {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}. Both players checked and the {j-Hearts} landed on the turn.

The big blind led out for 3,500 this time and Perkins called as the {q-Spades} put four spades on the board. His opponent fired another 3,700 and Perkins flicked in a chip to call. His opponent flashed the {q-Clubs} but Perkins quickly tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for a straight.

Picking up the action with two players all in preflop, Stoyan Obreshkov found himself in a bit of a predicament and needing a lot of help. Corentin Ropert was his opponent and tabled {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} against Obreshkov's {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} with Ropert being at risk for 65,700.
