Tardif Ships the River

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

The action folded to Patrick Tardif on the button who made it 10,500 to go. Shyam Srinivasan three-bet to 42,000 from the small blind but Tardif wanted to see a flop.

The dealer fanned a flop of {k-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Srinivasan led out for 36,000. Tardif called and the {q-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Both players checked and the {8-Clubs} completed the board. Srinivasan checked again and then folded when Tardif shipped all in for 151,000.

Benger Jams Up Stack

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

In a battle button versus small blind, Sven McDermott and Griffin Benger clashed. Until the {8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{K-Spades} turn, a decent pot had emerged already and Benger bet 57,000, McDermott called. The {7-Hearts} came on the river and Benger moved all in.

McDermott had some 150,000 behind, gave his opponent a staredown and sent the cards into the muck.

Hajiyev Gets Lucky

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ramin Hajiyev was in the big blind against an opponent in the small blind and they got in a raising war that ended with Hajiyev calling an all-in shove of about 240,000. Hajiyev was dominated with {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} against {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} but the {8-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop put him way ahead. The {2-Hearts} turn and {7-Spades} river kept him best and the player who took the beat simply wished everyone good luck and headed on his way.

Delmas Eliminates Billard

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Francois Billard was all in for his last 105,000 chips and was called by the big stack at the table, Adrien Delmas. Billard had an uphill battle to climb with {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} against the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} of Delmas.

The flop came {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds} to give Billard some hope with a pair of nines. However, the {6-Clubs} on the turn and the {5-Hearts} on the river sent the Canadian to the rail.

Staples Can't Survive a Three-Outer

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Jaime_Staples
Jaime_Staples

Marvin Rettenmaier opened to 12,500 from middle position and Jaime Staples pushed all in for his last 100,000 from the big blind. Rettenmaier asked for a count and then made the call to put Staples at risk.

Marvin Rettenmaier: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Jaime Staples: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Staples was in a great position to double up, hoping to avoid an ace. However, the flop of {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} was detrimental, leaving Staples with just one out to stay alive. The turn and river were of no help as the PokerStars Pro headed for the exit.

Manole Out on His Shield

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

We found Mihai Manole in early position considering whether to call off against Dan O'Brien for about 83,000. The pot was around 120,000 and O'Brien, on the button, had jammed river with {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts} on the felt. Manole tanked until a clock was called and then flicked in a chip before the countdown could get going.

O'Brien showed {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the flopped nuts and Manole stared briefly before exiting. The dealer turned over {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.
