Peters Doubles Through Haxton

Level 5 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Steffen Sontheimer just took a seat in the tournament and raised to 5,500 in early position. Isaac Haxton called from the hijack and David Peters three-bet to 20,500 on the button. Sontheimer quickly folded but Haxton made the call.

The flop came {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Haxton checked to Peters who continued for 9,000. Haxton check-raised to 23,000 and Peters just called. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and Haxton shoved all in which prompted a quick call from Peters for his last 37,000.

Haxton tabled {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for top pair but Peters had an overpair with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. The river was the {4-Clubs} and Peters scored himself a double up. Justin Bonomo joined Sontheimer as new entries after the break while Timothy Adams is now on his second bullet.

Hecklen Takes McKeehen Out

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Joe McKeehen shoved from the cutoff for 25,500 and was called by Pablo Cabrera in the small blind. Henrik Hecklen was up next to act in the big blind and took about ten seconds before announcing he was also all-in. Cabrera was covered by Hecklen and looked at his cards once more before folding.

Joe McKeehen: {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Henrik Hecklen: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} to give McKeehen top pair but it also gave Hecklen the gutshot to the straight.

The turn brought the {q-Hearts} to give Hecklen the straight indeed and McKeehen got up from his chair already to see the {q-Diamonds} being dealt on the river to confirm his elimination.
