Kitai and Romano Up

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante
Jay Romano
Jay Romano

On the three-way flop of {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, Barry Greenstein in the small blind and Scott Stewart in the big blind checked to Davidi Kitai, who bet 600 and received two calls. On the {5-Hearts} turn, it checked again to Kitai and he bet 2,600, only Stewart called this time.

After the {A-Spades} river, Stewart check-folded to a third barrel and conceded the pot. All three players are up since the start of the day.

One table over, Pavel Ignatov was eliminated by Jay Romano and won't be able to re-enter after having busted the previous starting day already.

Four-Way Action; Reichenstein Re-Enters

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Over at table 27, a four-way pot remained quiet until the river was dealt on {Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Sven Reichardt bet 1,100, Jorge Abilio Martinez called, Filipe Oliveira raised to 7,000, Sergio Aido folded, Reichardt called after long thought, and Abilio got out of the way.

Oliveira triumphantly showed {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} but it was an inferior boat to Reichardt's {5-Spades}{3-Spades}.

At another table, there was also four-way action but this time in a four-bet pot (indeed, with four players). Uri Reichenstein got his stack in on the flop after flopping a flush draw but whiffed his outs against Sebastiaan de Jonge. Reichenstein quickly headed to the cashier to buy himself back in.

Roy Jams Into Rheem

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante
Jonathan Roy
Jonathan Roy

Jonathan Roy faced a raise to 300 and three-bet to 1,200 in middle position, which Connor Drinan on the button and Chino Rheem in the big blind called, the initial raiser also came along. On the {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop the action checked to Roy and he bet 1,500 and Rheem was the only caller.

After the {7-Hearts} turn, Rheem checked once more and called a second barrel for 5,200 to see the {J-Clubs} on the river. Rheem checked and Roy jammed for 21,500. Rheem tried to get some reaction via table talk, but would get none as Roy had his Bose headphones on. Rheem folded and Roy then took his headphones off.

"Sorry, I couldn't hear you. I know you were talking," Roy said. Rheem asked him again if he was bluffing and Roy just grinned.

"I know you had a diamond," Rheem added before the next hand was dealt.

Small Pot for Markholt

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

It has been a rocky start for Lee Markholt and he dropped to one third of the starting stack. Just now he got involved into a three-way pot that also included Fabio Freitas, who check-called a bet of 500 on the {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. On the {Q-Spades} turn, Freitas checked and folded to a bet of 1,000.

Set-Over-Set Doesn't Get Out of Hand

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Picking up action on a {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{A-Spades} board, it was Jose Montes who bet 2,200 and Pablo Brito Silva that came along with the call. The river brought the {K-Spades} and Montes check-called a bet of 5,500 from Brito

Brito showed {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a set of nines, but Montes got him with the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} to scoop up the pot.
