A Set is Not Enough for Roberty

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Raymond Roberty was all in and awaiting his fate, as Maria Lampropulos and Thomas Muehloecker were still active in the hand and checked the {K-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop. Lampropulos check-folded the {9-Spades} turn and Roberty confidently rolled over {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a set.

Muehloecker however had turned the better set with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and the {Q-Clubs} river brought no miracle for Roberty.

Cantos Busts Aido

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Sergio Aido got his stack in with the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Jorge Cantos held the slightly inferior pocket pair in {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. The board of {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} provided no help to Aido and he was ousted just before the final level of the day.

Bicknell Bombs the River

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

In a three-bet pot between Kristen Bicknell and Timo Kamphues, it was the Canadian who bet 5,500 from the small blind on a {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop. Kamphues came along with the call before both players tapped the table on the {7-Hearts} turn.

On the {10-Spades} river, Bicknell moved all in for around 20,000, much to the dismay of Kamphues. He scratched his head and pondered for minutes, seemingly unsure what to do. One of the other players at the table called the clock on him and shortly into the countdown, Kamphues flung his hand wildly into the muck.

One for Sheaves; Hata and Rezaei Bust

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Vicente Delgado raised to 2,200 in the cutoff and Leo Margets three-bet to 8,000 in the small blind. Warren Sheaves checked his stack in the big blind and called, Delgado got out of the way. On the {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop, Margets continued for 5,500 and Sheaves raised to 12,500 in order to force a fold.

At almost the same time one table over, Daniel Rezaei with {A-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Aymon Hata with {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} got their shorter stacks in and failed to get any help against the {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} of Chase Bianchi.

De Silva and Ross Go to War

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Upeshka de Silva raised to 2,400 in late position, Eli Ross called from the small blind and Niall Farrell called from the big blind. The {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades} got checked around, but the {A-Spades} turn brought some action.

Ross was first to act and bet 2,300, which Farrell called. De Silva then put in a raise to 8,700, Ross called, and Farrell folded. The river completed a possible backdoor flush draw with the {2-Spades} and Ross front-shoved for 16,000. De Silva was visibly displeased and needed several minutes before parting with his hand.

Schwartz Slashes Santo

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The cards were already on their backs on a {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{A-Clubs}{10-Spades} board with Noah Schwartz showing {K-Spades}{5-Spades} for the nut flush and Alexandre Santo repping the {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a straight. Santo was left with 6,400 after the clash, which he doubled through Ole Schemion in the next hand.

Rheem Pulls Further Ahead

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On the river of a board {K-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Chino Rheem bet 7,600 and was called by his sole remaining opponent to turn over the {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. That won the pot, and Rheem jumped above 200,000 in chips.
