Kim Takes Pot on River

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action was three ways with 8,500 in the pot. Brian Kim was under the gun against Anton Astpau in the hijack and Francisco Picasso in the big blind.

The board read {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Kim bet 4,500 when checked to. Only Picasso called.

The river came the {4-Spades} and Picasso checked again. Kim counted out a bet and fired for 16,500 which prompted a quick fold by Picasso.

"I Folded the Best Hand" Says Hallay

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action was caught on the river with 7,400 in the pot on the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{j-Spades} completed board.

Alex Kulev checked from the hijack before Axel Hallay bet 5,500 from the cutoff. Kulev responded by jamming for 27,000.

Hallay was sickened by the bet and went deep into the tank.

"Sorry, give me a minute," he said to his tablemates.

He mulled over his options before finding a fold.

"Show me ace-nine," said Hallay and Kulev responded by exposing the {a-Spades}.

"You jam with the nut flush?" asked Hallay while Kulev gave little away. "Then I folded the best hand. I had a four," added the Frenchman.

Boianovsky Beats Ventura With Minor Kicker Advantage

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Following a button raise to 1,200 by Felipe Boianovsky, Diego Ventura flat-called out of the small blind and the duo headed to the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop. Ventura went for a small check-raise from 1,100 to 3,500 but Boianovsky stuck around.

No further action followed as they checked down the {2-Spades} turn and {5-Hearts} river. Ventura briefly flashed the {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} but Boianovsky had him pipped by a notch with the {a-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Double Knockout for Aube

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Ivan Deyra raised to 1,200 and a short-stacked Alexandros Kolonias then pushed all-in for around 5,000. Henrik Brockmann also committed his last 12,000 and change before Sebastien Aube went all-in over the top, forcing out initial raiser Deyra in the process.

Alexandros Kolonias: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Henrik Brockmann: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Sebastien Aube: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop left Brockmann on the ropes while Kolonias was alive with the open-ended straight draw. Nothing changed on the {q-Spades} turn but the {k-Clubs} river only improved Aube to a full house.

Loeser Chips Up With a Flush

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With 8,700 in the middle to the {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, Manig Loeser checked and then called a bet of 2,600 by Francois Billard. The {k-Hearts} on the turn was checked by Loeser once more and he called another bet of 4,200 by Billard. Both then checked down the {2-Diamonds} on the river and Loeser flipped over the {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for the nut flush, which ended up winning the pot.

Pedro Neves
Pedro Neves

It was a three-bet pot with Pedro Gois Neves in the small blind against Mikita Badziakouski in the hijack.

The pot was 15,200 heading to the flop of {q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Neves continued for 3,800 and was called by Badziakouski.

The {4-Clubs} was the turn and Neves bet 7,600. Badziakouski called.

The river came the {8-Spades} and Neves moved all in for 22,700 effective. Badziakouski went deep into the tank, cracking his knuckles. After several minutes, he called for his tournament life. Neves turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for an overpair, beating Badziakouski's {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} (top pair) and eliminating him from the tournament.
