Siena Busts Kulcsar

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A very short-stacked Gergely Kulcsar was all-in for fewer than ten big blinds and Alessandro Siena looked him up from two seats over. The rest of the table folded.

Gergely Kulcsar: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Alessandro Siena: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades} runout failed to improve the Hungarian, who tapped the table and headed out of the tournament room.

Hu Cracks Kings to Bust Nitsche

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Anthony Hu opened to 3,500 and Alexandre Raymond called from the next seat. Dominik Nitsche then pushed all-in for 22,000 and Hu was the only caller.

Dominik Nitsche: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Anthony Hu: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop improved Hu to the superior pair and Nitsche found no escape anymore once the {j-Spades} turn and {7-Diamonds} river completed the board.

Kaverman Keeps Small Stack Afloat

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Byron Kaverman min-raised to 3,000 and Kayhan Mokri, who had asked the dealer to receive some aces prior to the hand, defended the big blind. On a flop of {7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, Mokri check-called for 2,000 and that led them to the {k-Spades} turn. Mokri checked again and Kaverman bet 3,000 to win the pot without any further resistance.

Wakil Slow Plays Aces

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Jamil Wakil
Jamil Wakil

Jamil Wakil opened to 3,500 from the hijack before Frank Lagodich made it 10,500 from the button. Wakil called.

The dealer fanned a devilish flop of {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Wakil checked. Lagodich bet 4,000 and was called again.

Wakil check-called after Lagodich jammed for 18,500 on the {4-Spades} turn and the players exposed their cards.

Frank Lagodich: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Jamil Wakil: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Both players flopped full houses but Wakil had the best of it. The {j-Clubs} completed the board to put the final nail in Lagodich's coffin.

Lamb Gets River Bet Through

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Chris Brewer raised to 3,000 from the hijack. He was called by Tamas Adamszky in the cutoff and Ben Lamb in the big blind.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} and action checked to Adamszky who bet 3,500. Both Lamb and Brewer called.

Action checked through on the {6-Spades} turn.

The {5-Clubs} was the river and this time, Lamb led out with a bet of 12,000 which folded out both Brewer and Adamszky.

Rafael Moraes
Rafael Moraes

Christopher Frank opened to 3,500 from the hijack before Brek Schutten put in his short stack in from the small blind. PokerStars' Rafael Moraes rejammed from the big blind and Frank got out of the way.

Brek Schutten: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Rafael Moraes: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Moraes' superior pair stayed best and he sent Schutten out following the {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{k-Spades} runout.

Rajat Sharma opened to 3,000 from under the gun and then called when Stephen Chidwick made it 11,500 from the small blind.

Chidwick continued for 7,000 on the {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop and was called. The {q-Hearts} turn checked through to the {2-Hearts} river. Chidwick fired for 13,000 and Sharma gave it up.

Siena Flops a Miracle

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Alessandro Siena moved all in from under the gun for 47,500 and action folded around to Gergely Kulcsar in the small blind who snap-called. The cards were then tabled, with Siena at risk.

Alessandro Siena: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Gergely Kulcsar: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Siena sighed when he realized what he was up against, but his tune quickly changed when the flop came {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts} to give him quads.

"I still have outs!" exclaimed Kulcsar who took the beat better than most would, and the {5-Clubs} on the turn left him drawing dead.

The board completed with the meaningless {k-Diamonds} and Siena was awarded the pot for a full double up.
