Action at Table One

Level 21 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Brandon Wilson
Brandon Wilson

On a completed board of {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, the pot was around 500,000 when Brandon Wilson bet 40,000.

His opponent, Steve O'Dwyer, shook his head and called. Wilson then tabled {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for trip kings while O'Dwyer flashed {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} before sending them into the muck.

"I guess it's not a lucky seat after all," he muttered.

O'Dwyer was left with only 150,000 after that and moved all in from under the gun the very next hand, but he got a walk and took down the blinds.

The hand after that, Wilson shoved from the button and after using a time bank, Dan Smith called from the small blind, putting himself at risk. O'Dwyer also used a time bank to contemplate his decision but eventually elected to fold and the two hands were tabled.

Dan Smith: {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Brandon Wilson: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

Wilson was ahead with his pocket pair, but the runout of {4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades} gave Smith the win with his pair of kings and he was able to score a double up.

Smith Flops Set to Avoid Bubbling

Level 22 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Dan Smith was all in for around 160,000 on a flop of {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts} in a heads-up pot against Joao Vieira, who had him covered.

Dan Smith: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Joao Vieira: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Smith had out-flopped Vieira with a set and nothing changed on the {2-Spades}{9-Spades} runout to earn Smith a double on the soft money bubble.

The popular BSOP made an appearance at the PCA with the BSOP Bahamas Main Event. That was won by Canada’s Allan Barnes after he defeated Vicente Delgado in heads-up play.

This is the first win for Barnes, and a long time coming after a few deep runs in the Bahamas.

“First of all, me and my wife absolutely love The Bahamas," he told PokerNews in a winner's interview. "It feels very, very good. It’s a monkey off my back.

"I’ve had some cashes down here and I’ve gone deep in some tournaments where I busted out before it really got exciting. This one here is a nice victory.”
