The aggressive play of William Teoh has paid off once more as he won a showdown pot versus Wooseok Kim, who was left rather stunned and surprised. On a board of A♥K♥10♦J♥9♦, they get 17,000 in on the river and Kim tabled the 6♥4♥ for a flush. Teoh had that beat with the 9♥2♥ and pulled ahead of his opponent.
Two players from the Philippines collided when Ivan Tabucal on the button and Edwin Dela Cruz in the small blind tangled in a three-bet pot. Dela Cruz fired three barrels, and he was called down by Tabucal eventually.
Prior to the J♥7♠5♣8♣Q♦ river, Tabucal only had around 20,000 behind and sighed when he faced the shove by Dela Cruz with the marginally covering stack. Ultimately, he made the call and Dela Cruz revealed the 8♦8♠ for a set as he exposed the 6♣6♦ for a missed straight draw before heading out of the tournament area.
Won Jae Lee raised to 8,000 before the blinds went up and then folded to a shove by Jose Drilon for 39,000. Drilon got another shove through before Lee then open-jammed for 53,500 from under the gun. Junho Kim asked for an exact count and folded in the very next seat, all others folded as well.
A relieved Kim flashed his cards and tabled the Q♣5♥.

Three way action to the A♥K♥5♣ flop brought a bet worth 13,000 by Hal Rotholz and he was check-called only by Edwin Dela Cruz. That led them to the 6♠ turn on which Cruz checked once more. Rotholz now bet 27,000 and that eventually won the pot.
One table over, Junho Kim bet a heads-up river of 9♣7♣6♣5♣8♥ for 30,000. Artem Utvinskii gave it some thought and then folded as he was shown the K♣J♣ by Kim.
There was some grins all over the table when Won Jae Lee turned over the 7♦2♥ out of the big blind as he was up against his former nemesis Junho Kim, who revealed the A♠6♠ for middle pair and the nut flush draw on the 7♠6♦2♠ flop.
The 9♣ turn and 10♣ river runout changed nothing whatsoever and Lee stuck around with now more than 20 big blinds.
Lijun Zhang raised to 6,000 and earned two callers in Yicun Ma as well as Hui Shen Mok. Enrico De Rosa then pushed all-in for 29,000 on the button and Gai Lax Lim called all-in for 9,000. Zhang, Ma and Mok all called and the three active players checked down the 10♦5♥3♥2♣8♣.
De Rosa's A♦Q♣ were matched by the A♥Q♦ of Zhang but they were no good. Lim tabled the Q♥Q♠ to win the side pot and Ma's J♠10♠ beat the 9♠9♦ of Mok for the bigger main pot.
Chi Fu Sze and William Teoh invested 5,000 each on the Q♠10♣3♠ flop and 5♦ turn. Teoh checked the J♠ river and Sze bet 11,000. The check-shove by Teoh for 41,500 followed and Sze tanked so long that the clock was called on him.
During the 30-second countdown, Sze called and Teoh tabled the K♥J♣. Sze was very reluctant to expose his cards but he had to do so according to the all-in showdown rules, flashing the J♦8♦.
Ricardo Torres raised to 7,500 and Lijun Zhang called, which led them to the A♦K♦Q♥ flop. the continuation bet of 7,000 by Torres was called and Zhang came along again on the 6♥ turn when Torres bet another 16,000.
Last but not least, Torres bet the 4♥ river for 20,000 and he called a raise to 50,000 by Zhang, who revealed the J♦10♥ for broadway. Torres shook his head and mucked the cards.
