Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Two re-entries from Jung Seungmook and John Lee Yan Zhuang and a brand new entry in the form of Tzupeng Wang has brought the field up to 52 entrants so far, with registration remaining open until the start of level 10.

Of these, 40 player are still in action, with blinds about to rise once more.

Assorted Chip Counts

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Hsiao Yun Yang is still the man to catch and although he has dropped some chips recently, Yang is still the only player to hold a six-figure stack though several players are beginning to gain some ground.

Fung on the Rise, Liu Under Starting Stack

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Gabriel Fung's fortune is on the rise and he has managed to significantly increase his stack since the last time we caught him in action. Following a limp from Pang Hsun Liu in the cutoff, both Fung and Shun Yan Ho made the call from the small and big blind respectively to take the action three-way to a flop of {2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.

There was no betting on the flop, though the {a-Diamonds} turn saw action spark, with Liu making a delayed continuation bet of 1,000 after both Fung and Ho checked it over. While Fung folded, Ho was not done with the hand yet and threw in the calling chips.

The {3-Spades} river saw Ho check once more, with Liu firing for 2,000, which was enough to get the job done and Ho pitched his cards into the muck.

Two More Entries Before the Break

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante

There have been two more new arrivals in the form of Cheng How Pan and Zong Ping Xing to bring the total number of entries up to 49, with 39 of those still in the running.

These 39 players have headed off on their second break of the day, this time for 10-minutes.

Fung Outflops Lin, Yang Back to Winning

Gabriel Fung
Gabriel Fung

Action folded around to Chen An Lin in the small blind and he completed, with big blind Gabriel Fung choosing to check his option.

Lin checked the {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop over to Fung, who tested the waters with a bet of 800, which Lin called to bring in the {5-Spades} turn.

That was it for the betting in the hand, with both players checking, and then checking again on the {2-Diamonds} river.

Lin turned over {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} but had been outflopped by Fung's {j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, leaving the latter to scoop the pot and climb over starting stack to 36,000, while Lin dropped to 52,000.

Over on one of the other tournament tables, we caught Yu You Ci Tsai, Cheng Hui Chang and Hsiao Yun Yang tangling again, though this time it was Yang who took down the pot.

Following a Tsai mid-position limp and a call from a player in the cutoff, Yang juiced it up to 1,200 on the button. Having seen this before, Cheng Hui Chang made the call from the small blind, Tsai also called the extra, while the player in the cutoff folded.

The {7-Spades}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop was checked around to Yang, whose 2,500 continuation bet was enough to take it down.

Tsai Wins Back-to-Back

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante
Yu You Ci Tsai
Yu You Ci Tsai

Yu You Ci Tsai is the only player we have seen tangle with Hsiao Yun Yang and come out a winner, and he did it twice in a row.
Action was picked up in the first hand with close to 20,000 already in the middle on the river, with the community cards spread {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Tsai, sitting in under-the-gun, was all-in for close to 40,000 and Yang (middle position) was in the tank, eventually choosing to give it up.

The very next hand, the two tangled again, with Cheng Hui Chang caught in the crossfire. It was Yang the man driving the action with an open to 1,000 from middle position, with Chang making the call from one seat over and Tsai coming in from the big blind.

The {2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop saw Tsai check, Yang bet 2,500 and Chang call. Tsai thought it over for a bit before deciding to call also, and the dealer burned and turned the {10-Hearts}.

This brought checks from all three players, with the {3-Hearts} river completing the hand, and the action as there was no more betting. First to act, Tsai turned over {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of sixes, and that was enough to claim the pot as both Yang and Chang mucked.
