Welcome to the Inaugural Pokercode Festival

Pokercode Festival Bratislava
Pokercode Festival Bratislava

Welcome to the PokerNews coverage of the inaugural Pokercode Festival at Banco Casino, located in the heart of the Slovakian capital of Bratislava.

The festival provides a chance for coaches at the popular poker training site Pokercode to interact with their community while providing well-structured and fun events.

PokerNews will be covering the highlight of the festival in the €125,000 guaranteed Pokercode Festival Bratislava €550 Main Event. The event features three opening flights on Sept. 9-10 starting with today's Day 1a kicking off at 12 p.m. CEST.

All of the opening flights will feature 11 blind levels of 40 minutes each with players allowed to re-enter once per flight. Day 1a and Day 1b feature 40-minute blind levels, while Day 1c is a turbocharged affair featuring faster 20-minute blind levels.

Players that strike out or wish to enter even later will have the opportunity to do so with late registration open throughout the first blind level of Day 2 on Sept. 11. Those surviving Day 2 will battle it out for one more day on Sept. 12 until the first Pokercode Festival Main Event champion is crowned.

Recreational Vibe

The Pokercode Festival prides itself on providing a poker holiday for both recreational and professional players alike. Those in the Pokercode community have a great opportunity to meet many of the members of the popular Pokercode Grindhouse but will also be able to rub shoulders with one of the most successful poker players of all time in Pokercode founder Fedor Holz.

In addition, Pokercode has a lounge set up for players to chill out when they aren't playing. The lounge not only provides darts and air hockey but also a punching machine for those that need to release some energy to potentially prevent tilting.

This is not all, as players will have various opportunities to win prizes on the "Wheel of Fortune" and can get tickets in various ways including winning the pub quiz scheduled for this evening at 9:30 p.m. CEST.
