Nicholas Palma Eliminated in 3rd Place ($104,000)
Level 19
: Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Clemen Deng A♦8♥ raised to 120,000 from the button and Vitalijs Zavorotnijs called from the small blind. Nicholas Palma jammed for 1,655,000 from the big blind. Deng folded to put the action on Zavorotnijs. The latter thought for a few moments, before opting to call.
Nicholas Palma: K♠J♣
Vitalijs Zavorotnijs: 7♣7♠
Zavorotnijs smashed the 7♦6♦6♥ flop, deflating Palma, who was dead on the 8♣ turn. The 3♣ river completed the board, and the Event #2 champ had to settle for the bronze medal this time around. However, the deep run will undoubtedly help in his pursuit of the Purple Jacket.
